I'm just getting it in now because it is ALL I will hear at work tomorrow... "I cannae believe that's September already..." Well, I hate to be the one that breaks it to you...

I may go out cardigan shopping in celebration.

This made me laugh. I can just hear them.

Oh God. Not Christmas chat yet.

In the kitchen last night and I heard an almighty uproar in the utility room ceiling (nearly shat myself) then listened for a good couple of minutes to something that was either two mice having a scrap, two mice shagging loudly or one mouse (but maybe more) being stung to death by wasps. Not sure which one it was but it was loud, traversed the kitchen, utility room and downstairs toilet ceilings and it didn't sound like the squeaking was from having any kind of fun. Probably didn't help that I'd sprayed the wasps again fifteen minutes before so they were probably really pissed off.

I did see a fledgling Christmas section in Debenhams yesterday.

I do love this time of year. The segue from summer to autumn.

You know there's less than a year per decade when we don't have to deal with WW1 and WW2 commemorations pretending to be news. This decade's one is now over. Nov 11th 2018 - 1st September 2919. That's it. Hopefully now WW1 is 100 year passed and they're ALL DEAD, we can start putting that one to history a BIT.

While I have respect for the people who had no choice but to go and fight threats such as fascism, I really struggle with all the terrible things our forces have done like massacring innocent people in Ireland. If kids were taught both sides of the countries history we probably wouldn't have all this pomp and bullshit.

Just waiting for the family to get ready to walk up to the pub to have a pint then home for a roast. What a sunday.

Jeez, I'm on such a noise kick right now. Like full-on classic Japanese/US noise - Masonna, Skin Crime, Crawl Unit, maybe a bit of Merzbow even tho' he's a dick. Can't be a good thing.

Just realised that I can go back into work tomorrow and brag about how I've lost a stone and five pounds since March (last time I was weighed) just by walking the dog more often. Serves them all right since none of them gave or sent me a 50th birthday card, yet a woman who I stopped working with fourteen years ago, and have only seen two or three times since, posted one through my front door. I suppose that's how it goes when you're the one in the office that makes sure everybody gets a card signed by everybody else on their birthday and supplies cakes too. Seriously if there isn't something nice and birthday-related waiting for me on my desk in the morning that's it, all bets are off.

There will be. If you've just been off for a fortnight then they won't have thought that far in advance.

Mind you, a girl I used to work with was off sick the week before she got married and her team used that as an excuse not to bother, figuring that by the time she got back from her 2 weeks honeymoon, she'd have forgotten! I heard tell that no-one believed she was actually sick and this was part of it whereas, in fact, she was just in a team full of cunts.

I was at Skunk Anansie last night in Glasgow. I think I had forgotten what Glasgow city centre can be like on a Saturday night.

We had an hour to kill for the bus and were all drunk out. So we ended up going to McDonalds. It was absolutely mental :D. Lots of security in and outside. Someone had passed out outside. And in the queue a man groped a girl, which started a whole host of Me Too comments. The poor girl said “all i wanted was my chips” as he was arguing with security and eventually got escorted out.

It was really quite a spectacular way to kill time.

I’m going to have to find ways to crowbar “All I wanted was my chips” into various horror shows :disco:

I was recently in Enfield for reasons not worth unveiling and there was a security AND police presence in and outside the McDonalds during the DAYTIME :side-eye:

Glasgow is a fucking zoo on a Saturday night now with Friday marginally worse I think, due to the additional of disgruntled office-workers who went out "for one" and stayed the distance. That McDonalds is just insane tho'. It gets shady at about 4pm and then gets worse.

I can get home from the O2 without going through town, which is a help.

Why do McDonald’s have security? Do people really get that heat up over a Filet-O-Fish?

Anywhere where there is a gathering of pissed up Brits always carries a risk of anything kicking off.

This much is certainly true. I just didn’t think they would congregate in McDonalds.

But where else is there to go after chucking out time? Personally I always head there for a juicy burger, fight with the lads and handful of boob :disco:

I don’t have one local to me, and I can’t stand McDonalds. Of course, we all know when we are inebriated to high Heaven we would scoff a scabby horse.

Our local McD's has one security guard during the day and two during the night because teenage scrotebags keep smashing the windows and the police aren't interested because the scrotebags have gone by the time they arrive so they just look at the CCTV to see if they know them. They only used to have one during the night (it's 24 hour) but earlier this year they stepped it up.

And of course McDonalds appeals to all those pesky Freudian urges. The burgers are mummy’s boobs - mmm... so soft, comforting and nourishing and such a juicy, meaty innard - and the fries are daddy’s cock. Goodness me, what a generous portion, even if I grant you that they are individually quite thin. Handful of those for me please Tracey :disco:

I think that's the same as the main one here. And during the day, he tends to be quite discreet and you might not even notice he was there.

But at night, there are at least a couple of them, all stood around by the doors and tills.

I was literally stunned at what was unfolding in front of my eyes.

Moopymeet in McDonalds at 2am after a night out @monsta’s club night :disco:

Oh yeah theres a few fast food places in Manchester that have security at the weekends

Yeah we have late night weekend security at our Maccy's. I think someone got stabbed in there at some point.

Our mcdonalds in York is also 24 hours and attracts all kinds of crime. I have no idea how they get away with keeping it open
