I feel like absolute shit. I'm in one of my i-hate-the-world-and-everyone-in-it-especially-if-they're-a-tory moods and it appears to be showing on my face.

OH WELL.
 
I’m quite perky, but then I only have two days in the office this week and then the rest in Lisbon at an exhibition.

What a CLASS ACT she was. Lovely ACCESSORIES and not a PAPER in sight. These modern newsreaders with all their LAPTOPS and WHATNOT don't have a CLUE!

 
My colleagues redeemed themselves birthday-wise. I arrived this morning to a box containing pickled onion Monster Munch, rib and saucy Nik Naks and many various peanutty chocolate bars. There were balloons all over my desk and a knob and balls balloon arrangement taped to my glass door courtesy of office lad (he'd drawn hairs on the balls and a japs eye on the knob), a foil balloon and several banners on the walls. One of the girls brought cakes in and the boss provided chippy dinner. So I forgave them. I did point out that it's a bit of cruel and unusual torture to cover a desk in balloons when that poor person is scared of them so they have to start letting them down slowly so they don't pop and they said that's why they did it!
 
Just finished an application for a job I REALLY REALLY want and I've deliberated over for a couple of weeks.

Which one was that? I've forgotten what I mentioned as there's been a COUPLE.

The one I was headhunted for couldn't meet my salary.
The second one I interviewed for but it appeared that it wasn't quite the level of job the advertisement was making out and I withdrew my application.
The third is this one which I've been trying to apply for for about 3 weeks but have been procrastinating. It's the one I really want.
 
So not content with running my own consulting business, starting another business, and advising another startup business (which is launching now so very demanding) I've just agreed to homeschool Ron Jr one day a week.

I'm tired already.

Yep. I’ve long wanted to move to a 4 day week so i suppose this is it, and as much as we are committed to this alternative path, I was starting to get a bit nervous about his academic progression, so I can now influence that. So I think its for the best, especially for him. The timings just a bit of a stinker.

I’ve joined a couple of home school groups on facebook and woke up with a plan of how we’ll structure the day, bought a load of ks1 books so starting fridays I’m going to make him call me SIR and start handing out detention.
