Tuesday is boooooooored already

Yoo hoo

My Virgin Media internet is down AGAIN so I’ll just have to do nothing and stay in bed all day :)

I've just applied to be a supervisor at POUNDLAND.

I imagine that to be a growth industry...certainly, there's a couple of folk in the one down the road from the office who've been there for several years.

It's part time so perfect for my requirements!

Do you get discount?
I didn't even look at the job spec.

But can you imagine? The amount of unusable crap I'd have.

I used to get an obscene discount when I worked in TopShop back in the day. I looked High Street cool back in 2002.

Our BT broadband has been down for two weeks tomorrow. Two engineer visits to the home so far to be told the problem isn't here, and now after being told that for over a week they are coming again tomorrow.

Thank God for unnecessarily large mobile data packages meaning I can tether to my phone instead.

I hope they send an acceptable engineer this time. The first one looked like a malnourished Sebastian Coe, and the second was reasonable enough, but had BO that stripped all my Teflon.

I did hope that choosing Virgin would put an end to this YOU’RE TOO FAR FROM THE EXCHANGE idiocy I got with everyone else but obv not. Clearly it is still 1977 after all

Isn't there a thread for what 90s pop stars look like now? I'm having a quick looksee on my phone and can't find it.

Oh, don't get excited. It's only one of Bad Boys Inc.

Proximity to the nearest exchange is still totally relevant.

Fun fact: Virgin run on their own line, while every other provider run on BT's line.

I finally ditched my Virgin for Hyperoptic last week. Virgin is great when it works, but when it doesn't their customer service is ABYSMAL. Plus Branson is a cunt.

My internet speed is not the best. To be expected when I live over 2 miles away from any real civilisation but STILL.

Our Virgin speeds are excellent and always have been. I'm on up to 100 meg broadband and my speedtest just came back at 109.81 meg download speed.

I just done a speed test on google (not sure how accurate it is?) and my broadband speed is 21.4 download speed. Is that exceptionally slow?

I’m on Sky but a ridiculously basic package and my download speed is 12.29 Mbps which I know is SHITE but it doesn’t matter- I never have any issues with streaming anything or us having multiple devices connected.

I was happy with my old 50 meg broadband, the only problem I had with it was when the spawn and her ex used to come home and their Apple devices used to leech it all leaving nowt for my poor little laptop. So I just rang Virgin and ranted about how unfair it was that I couldn't play Candy Crush when they were in the house so they sent me a super router thing that put the Playstation and Apple products on a different wifi and left my laptop on the old slow wifi and I never had a problem after that. They also said that if we'd been with any other provider our speeds would have been restricted because we used to download a lot of films in those days and we were well over others provider's fair usage limits (I've got a 1TB external drive full of illegally downloaded films). Then they upped the broadband to 100meg for free.

My broadband is also with Virgin. I have no issues with it but it’s got to ridiculously expensive at £45 a month for broadband only. :wired:
