I've been wondering the exact same thing ever since I heard about this collab. From the snippets it looks like Lady Rey comes in when the song SLOWS DOWN.

this sounds like it might be a mess, except for Lana's part obv. I do hope she has the classic Heidi/Michelle 20 second middle 8 that steals the show.
 
I feel like these bitches hate each other and had to record their parts separately in different continents.

Some parts are OK but the chorus is extremely weak and the lyrics are super shit. 5/10
 
It's hardly the triumphant return to pop for Ariana we we all hoping for, but perhaps it will stoke the Ari masses to lend Miley and Lana a few streams on their current marvelous solo efforts.
 
Lana sounds so out of place on this, she might as well not be on it :D

It should have had way more Miley. I couldn't understand a word Ariana was singing and it was a relief when Miley annunciated properly.

Any I'm a fan of all three!

Nevertheless it is quite catchy despite being clunky
 
The way Lana described it in an interview, she was given the track with Ariana's vocals already laid down, she moved things about a bit and added her part.
 
It’s no Independent Women but I like it. There should have been more of Lana and Miley.
 
Lana’s part reminds me a bit of Britney’s Piece of Me.
 
Underwhelming and just another one of Ariana's all too many recent mumblefests with barely a hook in sight. At least Lana elevates both the song and the video with her bit.
 
I think it's a step up from her normal empty pop. There's hooks there.
 
It's better than the last two singles (Monopoly and Boyfriend) but she's clearly not wanting to play the big pop game at the moment.
 
this is utter trash. i'm surprised lana said yes but then i hate whenever she interacts with anyone "current".
 
Lust For Life (the song) clearly started out as a Weeknd song right? I know the story is he came on board later, after she'd taken the song to Max Martin, but all of her vocal melodies on the verses are SO him I can't imagine that's quite how it went down

I'm not familiar with his stuff at all, so I've no idea how it came about. I fucking love it to death though.

The credits are her, him, Nowels and Max Martin so either scenario would make sense. It's a brilliant blend of her with something different where they both elevate the other but I do think it sounds VERY her, particularly in the verses in fact.
 
It sounds like they're singing over a default iPhone alarm tone, it's very urban.

The older Charlie's Angles movies were campy and ridiculous (they literally fly on several occasions), so I hope this one isn't going to go down the grating #girlboss, Wonder Woman route.

(or at least if they do, have Charlie's voice played by HILLARY)

Lana's middle-8 is my fave part of the whole song, I don't think she's audible in the chorus though? Neither is Miley but I love Queen L's ad-libbing throughout the final bits. Is it #1 already??????

sidenote: what the fuck has Ariana done to her face this time around? Same goes for Elizabeth Banks, she looks awful :D
