There's still lots of Hallowe'en stuff on some people's desks. Apparently, there was a contest but all but one of the managers took the day off so there was no-one to judge it.
It's one of the things about the death of ties in the office and the move to "smart casual". It makes "Spot The Cunt" that bit harder. A man's choice of ties was often a superb indicator of their arsehole rating being in the upper percentages.
Almost as funny as all the nominations for "this person is fabulous" prizes for last Friday still sitting in the ghost covered boxes that were supplied for them because no-one gives a toss.
Well that was a weekend.
Friday: alcoholic friend has a rant at me for having expressed my concern about him to another friend
Saturday: someone I met once briefly a few months ago messages me wanting to go shopping together
Sunday: salty loser at the pub quiz tries to guilt trip us into splitting up our team next time
Fun times!
I really don't know how to feel about this. I knew him much much better than say when Nick died in the Bataclan which devastates me to this day, but liked him far less than my friend who died of cancer last year, which was heartbreaking but I coped with pretty well on balance.
