Taken a wee day-off today because I absolutely cannot stand my co-workers just now. Legit, annual leave and all that but perfect timing because the most recent Residents reissues just landed on my doormat.

Also, I just had vegan sticky toffee pudding for breakfast. Decadent.

Sticky Toffee pudding for breakfast sounds SENSATIONAL on a freezing cold morning like todays.

I was going to the office today but fuck that.

It was from Tesco's vegan range, Wicked. Now, normally, they want £4 for it and, well, naw...BUT I had a voucher that took the price down to a smidge over £1.50 which, for four servings, seemed more than fair. That was the last of them and it hit the spot.

I'm skivving off Uni. The professor is a fucking cunt to me and revels in making me look stupid in class. Yet somehow I'm paying for that.

Sounds like a prize winning prick. Report him. I assume he has bosses as well.

My HIGHLY ESTEEMED COWORKER seems to regard herself a SUCCESSFUL WOMAN who's MADE IT TO THE TOP ON HER OWN TERMS

I'm not sure what the FEMINIST take on MARRYING THE BOSS to GET YOUR OWN WAY is :zombie:

GREETINGS FROM WARSAW where my Polish counterpart has AGAIN not made any provision for me coming, so is OTHERWISE ENGAGED but means I have the afternoon off to roam around town for free.

Him being USELESS does sometimes have its advantages for me...

Took a day off work for another endoscopy for Mr F. The letter said to fast for 6 hours so he did. After an hour and a half the nurse was doing his blood pressure and pulse and asked how long he'd fasted, it was over 12 hours since he'd last eaten but she decided that he should've fasted for 48 hours so I showed her the letter where it says the part below is very important and says to fast for 6 hours. Well apparently that's a standard letter that's sent out to everybody and you should always ring the surgeon's secretary to check that the information on the letter is correct before you follow any instructions! So it's Mr F's fault he didn't get an endoscopy today according to her. They're sending another appointment for four weeks' time but were still unable to decide how long he'll have to fast for, three nurses arguing about it because one set of notes says 6 hours, one says 12, another says 24 and the fourth says 48.

So another month to wait, by which time he'll have been off work almost five months and still won't have had the surgery that they knew he needed mid-August and I'm 99% certain he'll be sacked on medical grounds once he returns to work. Merry Christmas.

Did I recommend a tremendous cheap little French restaurant to you the last time you were there?

Now if that is not value for money I do not know what is. I must admit, after reading your post earlier I headed to the shop for some sticky toffee pudding, and darling it was worth every calorie.

No you didn’t. Always up for recommendations!

So I spent the afternoon intending to record shop but then deciding I shouldn’t.

So I spent £100 on a coat instead :D

It's called St Jacques, at Świętokrzyska 34. It's only a few minutes walk from the Palace of Culture and Science, but was kind of hidden by building work when we were there. We only knew about it because a guide on a walking tour we did recommended it. It's rare we eat at the same place twice when we're away as it's nice to try out new places, but we loved it so much we went back for Mr L's birthday.
