Hey.

Still don't have much to say for myself. Starting to think about Xmas and it's just stress nowadays...how am I going to get out of the team lunch this year?
 
Tell them you don't want to go.

REALLY. Why tie yourself up in knots thinking up an excuse? And it's the best way of ensuring you don't get future invites.
 
Horrid sleety morning here. And I stupidly opted for trainers rather than boots, so my feet are already cold and damp.
 
I'm staving off a terrible depression at the moment. I'm operating but that's it. I could really do with a week on a beach.

As if the low rent version of that desire wanted to come and slap me in the face, I'm off to Clacton (again) this Sunday. Mr Ag's botox appointment has come through and it's there. So that's good at least.
 
We wanted to go away skiing this christmas, I just can't be arsed to do the whole shebang, but a couple of projects aren't going to finish until after the new year, and one of my weekly payers just wrapped up, so things are a bit leaner. Might just get a fucking big loan or up the credit card because I can't handle another week of driving up and down the country, cramming into living rooms and being too hot because the heatings too high.
 
Then I might move to Spain and not pay it back. FUCK THE SYSTEM.
 
Or just wait for the inevitable financial collapse Brexit/The Tories will bring.

I'm the same, to be honest - really having to talk myself out of bed these days and not just because it's cold. I just want to sleep until I feel better again.
 
I've just been to COLLECT some. Bloody doctors is STILL insisting I need to have a REVIEW even though I had one only a couple of months ago and I have told them this ENDLESSLY. So much for NURSE PRACTITIONERS. I need to get MR S on something though before he drives me TOTALLY INSANE

Good afternoon! I was away yesterday attending a funeral in Lancashire (NOT Peter Kay's, I feel I must add) and thankfully I took today off too because I'm bloody knackered :zombie:

As for work Christmas stuff I seem to have somehow got suckered into organising a lunch thing for the second year in a row. My manager also had the gall to ask if we could go to his choice of restaurant "for once", and when I asked what it was he said the same place he suggested last year - which we went to :manson:
 
Today ended up being excellent. The foundations of my dissertation proposal are beginning to take shape.

So, they want us to have our Xmas lunch in 2 groups on different days :D!

I'm in the group that's been assigned the 20th i.e. the last Friday before Xmas. Absolutely double fuck that. So I've said no, on that basis.

I’ve been invited on Ms Ron’s works do, all paid, because I work from home on my own, which is really sweet. She works with a load of other women who run a manufacturing business, they’re all fucking cranks but funny, so it’ll be a right laugh.
