That's a really rubbish look for The Vivienne's Trump - bleach blonde wig and she's not orange? Choices.

I didn’t want to sound hateful and negative again but really with those few seconds she was in she managed to ruin the mood (for me). I don’t care how good her make up is, I have decided that I hate the shape of her face too so yeah...sue me! :evil:

I didn't watch AS2 at the time, so missed out on that. But yes, I see the comparison. Although I think Alaska dominated AS2 more than The Viv did UKS1.

Ru favoured Alaska even more that he did with The Vivienne.
 
He probably just appreciated how she crucified the competition. I simply cannot understand how anyone would think Katya deserved it, personality aside. And I actually prefer Katya.
 
Alaska winning every mini challenge because Ru felt like it doesn't mean she deserved it. Ru (and everyone else) knew from the first minute who was going to win, but I don't think she was better than Katya. And being horrible and a total cunt is not the reason why I say so.
 
I don't have to get over anything, I couldn't care less, I just don't agree. :)
 
The bile whenever it's mentioned may suggest otherwise.

Well that’s it then, I hadn’t really decided who I wanted to win, but at the final moment I was hoping for Divina (mainly because I thought Viv on AS was a juicy prospect). But I can’t really begrudge Viv winning.

I liked them all really, Baga finally showing what’s going on underneath was really needed for me. Divina did a great job too, I liked her dress the most.

Viv is great but that gown was probably better IRL, a bit beige for me. Anyway she’s killed the runway so it’s fine.

I think the lip sync song choices have been questionable, especially today, but the whole thing ending up like a very british wedding disco felt apt. (Wot, no Saturdays? I was promised Up!)

good job everyone
 
It’s difficult to compare the US and UK for me, they’re both hitting different spots. The US has much better looks and nonsense drama, the UK is more comfortable as a Brit, and the 8 episode run made it a lot tighter more quickly than the bloated 15-queen runs we have been having from the States.

All good, but I enjoyed S9
 
The lip sync in the final was RUBBISH. I can't believe no one brought a SINGLE bag of tricks. It's a FINAL FFS! It almost seems if they were TOLD not to. I'm not entirely sure how or why...maybe a soft opening this season and it builds over the next few years with more WOW moments or something?

You're telling me that Divina (who wasn't a rubbish lip-syncer at all), with all of her creativity, couldn't come up with a SINGLE thing to pull out of the bag in a "Lip sync for the crown"?

Yeah I got the vibe throughout the series. I expect a growing amount of bells and whistles over the next few years.
 
I thought the right person won, Divina is a more talented performer however she doesn't have the same erm...X FACTOR

I hated Baga on the mum's episode but it makes more sense now and his interview for the podcast thingy was the best

Will be interesting to see how S2 plays out, I have not seen the American one but I think this was definitely underplayed to contrast that and be more subtle to give it that British charm

Yes, Divina is a lovely person and she IS talented but she kinda reminds me of that girl at school who was into everything - the debate club, the school orchestra, the choir..her edit was AWFUL last night. We got to see a different side to Baga, with the podcast, which was lovely.

Well he would have known in terms of the deal he and BBC had with it being licenced elsewhere, and also a good indication on interest in an overseas series.
 
What has there been outside the UK, other than WOWPresents?

I imagine Ru's talk was nothing more than bigging it up hopefully.
 
I imagine a lot of people ARE watching. I just suspect most of them outside the UK will be doing it illegally.
 
I REALLY hope they cast Myra Dubois for series 2. She’s literally Baga Chipz and The Vivienne COMBINED and probably the funniest drag queen I’ve ever come across (she doesn’t rely on race jokes either COUGH Bianca Del Rio) :disco:
 
Just to say again I really have come to hate Bianca del Rio. Awful person.
 
Don’t know why I felt compelled to comment more, but coming for Divina saying why she was good WHEN SHE WAS SPECIFICALLY ASKED was a bit harsh :D

especially when Viv did the same in a really cringey way. How can someone who spent a lot of time lampooning Trump stand there and straight-faced say how humble she is? :D!

why does nobody know what humble means any more?

I just realised, all this talk of UK queens going to AS with the Americans, could it be ther some queens don’t want to with the UK series because they can actually get money on the US version? :D
