REAL-LIFE :manson:!

I've seen a lot of stuff online about the Tories forcing ID to be provided for the next GE which rules out 11 million people and can cause issues for trans people.

Well that's just going to play into the hands of the Tories - there are PLENTY of people who don't have ID and most of them are those in the lower classes as they can't afford to drive or go on holiday.

It's the postal votes that is more of an issue isn't it? Potentially one person can vote for a whole household...

You have to sign the form and they check it against the signature which you provided when you registered for the postal vote. I mean, it could be forged, and it depends how vigilant they are.

Crap, my passport has recently lapsed and as a non-driver that's pretty much all the photo ID I have. Guess that's my lunch break job tomorrow.

I've got my eye on what Farage gets given. Will they be shameless enough to go full knighthood, or try to slip him a grubby OBE instead?

how am i only hearing about his full name now? if corbyn's was this ridiculous the tory media wouldn't have shut up about it.

The Tory media is absolutely crawling with Jeremys, it would have been an own goal.

Will Boris actually WANT to support a potential war having just been elected and with Brexit looming?

I notice that he appears to be in line with the EU leaders in keeping quiet about the whole thing for now, although Raab made a statement suggesting sympathy towards the USA.

SURELY not even the most stupid amongst us would believe Iran pose an imminent threat to British lives.

I note The Fail has gone with "BORIS JETS IN TO FACE IRAN CRISIS" as their headline where as he's actually just flying home from his holiday. It hasn't been cut short and how else were we thinking he was going to travel - hot air balloon?

I've read that he'd likely support war. That journalists' life on his conscience.

I saw that. I rolled my eyes so hard.

Today they've gone for "PM WALKS TIGHTROPE OVER IRAN". First of all, there's a difference between walking a political tightrope and doing fuck all. Secondly, I'd love this to be literal and Boris has decided that the zipslide stunt needs topped.

I don't really know what's in his head. I heard quotes of "repaying northern constituencies" then choses a location with an extremely safe Labour MP. We don't want your repayment, twat.

I rather love the LITERALLY OPEN briefing that "we MUST SPEND MONEY TO KEEP NORTHERN CONSTITUENCIES" as if they weren't worth spending money on before!

They weren't - the Tories are as surprised as anyone else and absolutely want to lock down their support in some areas. This is, of course, logistically ass-backwards; if you've already got a seat by doing fuck all and even cutting spending in an area, why would your response be to turn up and make a racket, create expectation and then fail to deliver? They can't even do "conniving" properly.

I can't imagine anything less appealing as a 'repayment' for Northern voters than sending the House of Lords to their doorstep. Who wants their neighbourhood flooded with toffs, nonces and Andrew Lloyd Webber?

What an absolute joke.

I suspect this will get buried in the news following the revelations on Scottish budget day that our finance secretary has been noncing up a 16yo via text message.

Cunt bingo day.

McVey, Leadsom, Smith all gone.

Suella apparently IN.

Honestly why bother getting rid of USELESS ARTICLES like Leadsom and McVey to then replace them with SUELLA
