TV Ratings 2020

Those figures I've just posted are interesting though, particularly for commercial TV. You can see that Cold Feet plays particularly well to ABC1 adults, who very much aren't ITV's traditional audience, I assume. So it does allow advertisers to target those consumers specifically.

What does ABC1 mean?

Dancing On Ice in the top three for men 16-34 and not women. One can only assume GAYS.

I think Cold Feet hasn't managed particularly strong ratings since after its first comeback series. The demographic appeal must be it.

That is really poor for Doctor Who.

Yes, I think it's the first time it has dipped below 5m this series. In fact is it the first time it has dropped below that level since the revival?

What date was Indie on The Chase? Let's get his viewing figures!

They've announced that Cold Feet is being rested/taking a break after tonight's series closer.

Dancing On Ice has gone down steadily each week. I am not surprised, and think it needs to be put to sleep.

It hasn't really - the audience has been pretty solidly just over 5m after the first show of the year which got 5.8m. So I guess it's just a question of if that figure is good enough.

I do think (and certainly hope) that the success of The Masked Singer will encourage ITV to look at new formats rather than relying on the same old same old to pad out the weekend schedules like X Factor, BGT, Dancing On Ice. People clearly want something new. It will be interesting to see what Ant & Dec pull in next week.

That serves me right for just looking at this week, and last weeks figures to come to my assumption. :bruised:

I am hoping ITV go with a UK version of new Netflix sensation dating show Love Is Blind.

Is Queer Eye (or Queer Eye In Japan) being shown on ITV? I was watching the latter programme and noticed the credits had it as a collaboration with ITV. Perhaps a totally separate ITV exists

Oh it IS!
I just got thinking because Reet mentioned Love is Blind

I could have just googled this but I need the posts

Look at those Whitehouse Farm figures for the closer. What a hit.

20 Casualty 4.236m

Bit of a boost for EastEnders in its anniversary week, although an average of just under 6m must be disappointing when presumably that's the biggest week of the year. Still, in the just over a year that's the first time a single episode of EastEnders has managed to beat an episode of Coronation Street, so I suppose that's something.

BIG figures for Saturday Night Takeaway. It must be to do with the addition of FLWUR EAST. :disco:

Love Island 2.771m

I think this would have been the last week of Love Island so I am not really surprised it dipped under 3m as it is al pretty boring. Of course I still LOVED it.

17 Casualty 4.217m
18 Top Gear 4.033m
19 The Chase 4.028m
20 Masterchef 3.904m

The presence of Harry Redknapp's Sandbanks Summer in the top 20 is quite worrying, never mind the fact that it managed to grow its audience in week two.

Last Tango in Halifax managed to lose a million viewers which seems a little careless.

Hoping for some HEFTY SELF ISOLATION boosts over the coming weeks

Can't help thinking ITV will be disappointed in that Maggie Cole figure.

Just comparing with the same week last year, and both Corrie (-3.9%) and Emmerdale (-0.4%) are narrowly down, but EastEnders is slightly up (4.5%), so presumably that big week in February has helped give it a bit of a kick.

Poor EastEnders really deserves MORE!

Why are more people watching Emmerdale and Coronation Street :D I do not understand

I don't watch any of them, but from the bits I do see if I'm channel hopping, EastEnders is the last one I'd bother with.

That said, I don't think I remember stumbling across Emmerdale since it was Emmerdale Farm, so what do I know?

I only watch Eastenders religiously, although I do follow the other 2.
