For the first time ever, the Andra Chansen contenders are schlepping over to Eskiltuna - home of Finnosvenskar and recycling!

I've already done my half-hearted write-ups, so here are the duels.

DUEL ONE: Anis Don Demina vs Ellen Benediktson & Simon Peyron




DUEL TWO: Malou Prytz vs Paul Rey




DUEL THREE: Felix Sandman vs Frida Öhrn



DUEL FOUR: Mendez vs Drängarna

 
The first three duels really feel like foregone conclusions to me. Poor Frida in particular. As @Penelope just observed to me, We Are One truly this year's Songburning in terms of filler ACers from a weak semi.

Mendez vs Drängarna the only one with any real tension. I hope the fat folkies get it, obviously. But either would be fun filler for the finals.
 
Shame they marched up Mendez and Drangarna.

As noted, poor Frida is on a hiding to nothing against Felix. I hope Paul Rey gets through to split his vote in the final, Malou wouldn't be that much of a loss.
 
I don't really care who wins heat one.
Malou should win heat 2.
Frida should win heat 3, ending forever this ridiculous preoccupation with mumbly toddlers sending clinical, dead eyed robopop.
Heat 4 is win/win for me.
 
I’m a Malou stan but I think it’s better for her to skip the final and come back with something better
 
Bless Frida, she does give it some welly. I'd like to see her come back with a better song.
 
They truly gave Felix a free pass against that woman, praying fora miracle.
 
I’d rather have had 30 second performances of a lot, rather than long slots given out a bit arbitrarily
 
Well that got a better reception than everything actually taking part. Says it all about this year.
 
"Lena, we're inducting you in the Hall Of Fame, can you come to Eskilstuna?"

"Nah, sorry, filming a vertical video for my new single in Ibiza that week"
 
How nice to be able to put faces to all these names I’ve read on here over the years :D

In all seriousness, could they not have just given Alcazar a 45-minute slot instead? Rope in Magnus & Annikafiore and we could have been spared all of this.
 
I kept on waiting for Loreen to get past the silly intro and into Euphoria proper. But the intro was IT. :(

Surely a bit of a missed opportunity for her to remind everyone what she is capable of, she is not that much of a superstar as to be able to get away with that.
 
The Loreen performance was so damn Statements I thought I didn’t like it but then I realised I did
