6th: Despina Olympiou - An me thimasai (67pts)

Evidently a bit of a star on home turf, Despina Olympiou was internally selected with high hopes of bringing some long overdue glory to Cyprus. Sadly she just got lumbered with a really boring song. It's pretty enough, but it never really gets out of first gear, and the vocal feels quite... effortful in places.

Rubbish frock, too. The whole package just feels far too shy and apologetic given the calibre involved. No wonder the Cypriots took a break after this.
