UGH.

I've barely got my arse in my chair and folk are bugging me. At least I don't work in credit card chargebacks, poor sods will be well busy today.
 
The imminent collapse of civilisation has done wonders for my ennui.

Although I’m quite irritated that just as I begin to feel like leaving the house I’m being advised against it.

On the flip side, it's World Book Day today. A whole day where I get triggered by non-book costumes.

No, our village was just outside the flood zone thankfully. It's so bad. whole families have lost everything. As I said last week, my friend's farmhouse and land are still underwater.

The downstairs is gone, luckily they had moved most of their stuff upstairs, but they can't get in to get to any of it.
Other people only had half hours notice to move stuff so lost a lot and the people in bungalows had no chance. :(

Does insurance pay out on this? Many of the houses have been flood damaged before, so I would have thought getting insurance on the properties was either astronomical or impossible?

The dressing up thing has been getting bigger and bigger over the years but they also do cheap and free books for kids which is pretty cool.
 
I'll be in my new office drinking the free beer like I am now.

Dannii went to baby class as Little Red Riding Hood (I made her a cape), none of this shop bought nonsense. Kylie's nursery decided children should go in their pyjamas rather than pay out for a costume, I was MOST pleased.
