2020 wouldn't necessarily have been terrible, you know how it works with all the songs growing on you, people coming up with memorable performances, and everyone getting obsessed in May.

Remember that in March Fuego was just a 7/10 song with bizarre product placement in the video, and Rise Like a Phoenix was another generic bond-theme knock-off.

I've just spent all morning deliberating over all this! (Quite pleasant though, I enjoyed all 3 countries far more than is probably sensible)

Now I really AM going to have to clean the house :angry:

I've literally never been busier. The nature of my job means this week has been absolutely insane, and I also have a weekly podcast to edit and record, which is already 2 days late from the usual release schedule.

Please bear with me, I will keep this going.
 
It would've been a Family Fortunes clash anyway, no? Soz that you're busy obviously :( I dread to think what work might chuck my way come April..

I suppose now's not the time for ANGER and RESENTMENT. We'll save that for the results

I dunno, the quality was there with Fuego, and there were other songs in the mix that had buzz around them. Outside of Lithuania and Iceland, was there anything that had captured the public interest at all?
 
I think "New Tomorrow" was fully deserving of a top 5 placing, it's around my 6th or 7th favourite from the 2011 final.

I mean, 2011 had AT LEAST two more bigger cases of 'how did this come top 5?!?'
 
@Suomi has very kindly offered to step in and deliver tonight's results if people would prefer to have it this evening?

I'll verify the scores to ensure he doesn't rig the system and let Ruth Lorenzo win every category. Failing that I'll probably spread it out over Monday and Tuesday. Really don't mind either way though.
 
I mean, for me this is more about helping VoR than being particularly desperate to do it, so I don’t mind if someone who isn’t banned by Alla wants to have a go either. I know this takes hours to compile and then to actually present, and having work stuff on top of the crisis must be like having Is It Right? By Elaiza played on a never-ending loop.
 
I think Alla should have to read the thread with Suomi's posts still blocked and try to work out who has come where based on everyone else's reactions.
