Friday would like to remind everyone on facebook that it's 'queue', not 'que'.

I am feeling better today and I have had QUITE ENOUGH of the sun MOCKING ME so at lunchtime I AM GOING FOR A WALK.

Yesterday I received an email from a client asking what 80% of £119 was. In the interest of not being a complete bitch I replied with the answer and also the sum to work it out (119 X 80 / 100). Fifteen minutes later I got a reply asking what it would be with 2 hours' holiday pay added on at £8.21 an hour. I replied with the sum £95.20 + £8.21 + £8.21 = £111.62 at 9 o'clock this morning.

How are people coping where one of you is working from home and the other is just around?

I mean, it must be a way of life for some, but today is our first day. Mr L needs a laptop and a monitor, and the only place in the house it makes sense to make that work is in the dining room, which is an extension of the living room, which I feel kind of effectively puts it out of bounds for me.

It's REALLY ODD hearing him at work.

I feel as if I need to fashion some kind of exclusion device out of a giant hula hoop and spikes to wear before I venture out.

I’m putting our big tent up in the garden this weekend so I can go and meditate/cry/wank somewhere for a bit on my own

I love my family dearly but I’m starting to wish they’d just fuck off out for a bit

The only other person to get onto my train this morning sat RIGHT OPPOSITE me, and then had a loud conversation with his missus about people not respecting his space in the supermarket.

You had an ENTIRE BASTARDING CARRIAGE to pick from and ended up almost on my lap. Those in glass houses shouldn’t be cunts.

I'm not entirely enjoying being on my own with no opportunity to meet anyone, but I will freely admit that it's much better than the alternative.

I have to go through the living room to get to the kitchen. Seriously wondering if leaving the house, unlocking the side gate and going in from the rear (:ken:) is preferable.

I've had that on the bus. Never more than 3 people on the top deck, but SURE, take the seat directly behind me!

I know right - it's like he's a different person!

after witnessing one of my conference calls, Mr M told me it sounded like *I* am the boss :eyes:

I am not but I can't stand the awkward seconds where no one takes the lead, let alone the ACTUAL BOSS, so I might as well!

I really want to play Future Nostalgia LOUD. It's not the kind of album that deserves a first listen on headphones.

I have this issue, Mr Star is upstairs though so we're mainly in the living room/ garden. The hardest thing is stopping Kylie shouting out for him every 2 mins

I need to brave the shops in a bit for the weekly shop. I've not been out since Monday.

Hi moopy.

I need distracting for twenty minutes. I should find out whether I have a job to go to on Monday soon. 50% of our staff are being furloughed :(

I may kill Mandy if I can't work and have to stay home.

I'd quite LIKE to be furloughed but it just isn't enough MONEY

WALK COMPLETED

Loads of people about. Some making the effort to keep their distance, some VERY MUCH NOT. Joggers are the FUCKING WORST. Lumbering RIGHT past people breathing heavily with their mouths open into everyone's faces. :manson::manson::manson: CUNTS

It's a lovely day though and I saw lots of excellent dogs and a squirrel :)

I ended up pointedly turning my face away whenever one got too close. And tutting and sighing. I'm sure that helped.

Despite wearing gardening gloves yesterday, I managed somehow to rip some skin off the inside of my thumb. It's making washing my hands an absolute bastard.

Tues/Weds/Thurs I went for 20 mile bikes in the countryside. Today I did an hour walk because my legs are tired but I far prefer the biking option. Too many people ambling about.

Quite amusing to see the outdoor queues at the supermarkets though. I had a smile at them as I walked into my empty butcher's.

Finding it incredibly difficult not to go full-on Hungerford and it's only been a week, I've got 11 more of them to do. I know that Mr F just lounges about all day while I'm at work, either upstairs or in the living room, but actually witnessing it every day has bred a resentment so strong I'm not sure I've ever felt the like before. I'm getting really frustrated because I'm not getting any proper work done due to emails and phonecalls from employers and the self-employed and there's no time to brew up. When I do get a free minute I have to make him a coffee too, take it upstairs and then I get asked "who was that on the phone earlier?" even though he only knows three of my clients so he's none the wiser when I tell him. I want to scream "I'm at work so stop trying to talk to me!" but then feel bad because he's spent every day since August in the house on his own and he's only trying to make conversation.

Don't even get me started on how annoying the dog's being!

Very much my experience as well from going to local shops here. I'd be lying if I said I could get everything I wanted, but I've never had to wait with more than two people in front of me on a one in, one out basis. And I think eggs are the only thing I didn't, manage to get.

God I'm enjoying working at home. I wonder how MADAM is getting on without being able to LET US KNOW OF HER EVERY WAKING THOUGHT and DISPENSE HER WISDOM TO ALL AND SUNDRY WHETHER REQUESTED OR NOT. I'm thinking it's like LORD OF THE FLIES round at my boss's house. She's certainly been QUIET. Probably GARDENING on FULL PAY
