MAD FRIDAY!!!!1!

I've been getting flour from the butcher. Nobody seems to have figured that out yet.

People have queuing for hours at the local windmill.

A local hospital, just helping out with admin work and a few other things to keep things running smoothly with everything that’s happening at the minute.

Oh so no hurry then? :D Good grief, typical HR team...

Fair play to you. You'd think they'd have an almost immediate turnaround for any application to work in the NHS at the minute - have you had to put in for your DBS?

I don’t want to go outside even for a walk because the sight of other people will just IRK me

Got up to find the council newsletter email saying all joggers and cyclists are banned from the river paths ALL BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND (between 10-6) so that walkers can use it safely. YES! HA HA HA.

I fucking love Simnel cake. Should have bought one in M&S when I was there in the week. Although after mistakenly coming out with alcohol free wine because my brain was fucked, I probably would have stuffed a size 12 lemon acrylic cardigan in my basket by mistake anyway.

YAY

Annieways, I read something in the week stating that if anything there is a surplus of flour in the UK at the moment. The problem is that the industry isn't set up for retail, in terms of getting it packed. I had to pick some up for my mother earlier in the week from the local bakery who are happy to sell it by the half kilo now.

I'm going for a walk in a minute to the corner shop in the next village. It's not my house or my office, so I'm genuinely quite excited for the change of scenery.

I wish I could express how much I hate the toilets in here. Someone just walked into the next cubicle to me, quacked out a particularly egregious fart, followed by the kind of splash usually created by a plummeting aircraft and an agonised groan more suited to someone who had just woken up to find themselves minus a foot.

:gross:

My neighbours are playing Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran songs loudly in their kitchen. Going round there with the rifle is not only justified but the kindest thing for them, right?

I'm not sure if I've got really shit at gardening or not, but I don't seem able to do anything without nearly severing a digit these days.

I could make my peace with Bieber, but Sheeran is beyond the pale. It's a pity we're social distancing or you'd be within your rights to form a lynch mob.

It depends WHICH Justin Bieber songs.

"well if you like the way you look that much well baby you should go and love yourself" and the "baby baby baby ooh" one, there could be others that belong to him. If I'm honest it all sounds like crap middle-of-the-road much-of-a-muchness shit to me.

Floppet admit it you were popping that booty to a bit of ‘Yummy’.

They're all crooning to "I am a champion (or it could be a tiger) and you're gonna hear me roooaaaar" with the oh oh oh oh oh's done by the husband :D

I had a very therapeutic hack away at some bramble this afternoon

I'm polishing off a bottle of white from the other night and blasting NICOLA and loving life again.

I'd forgotten what hard work it is. Two hours at a time is about all I can manage.

Still, I've got past the chopping/pruning and clearing part now, and can look forward to the choosing and planting bit which is always more fun. Must go to the garden centre tomorrow :disco:

oh

There are some online places selling plants for delivery! You need to know what you want though

I think at this stage I just want some bedding plants. I've pruned some old shrubs back really quite hard and I'm not sure if they are going to recover or not. So I'll fill in a lot of the bare patches with bedding plants, see if the shrubs recover or not, and then decide what to do late summer/early autumn.

Doesn't everyone have a suburban windmill plonked on a roundabout near them? Just me then.

The only real-life windmill I've ever seen is the one at Blackpool, just off the motorway as you get onto the main road to the seafront. Don't think that one mills anything anymore though.

The supermarkets really the best for those aren't they? If you know of any local nurseries, look them up on Facebook, some of mine are selling and delivering stuff for half price as it's just going to waste otherwise
