Did the UK and the US take considerably longer to put social distancing measures in place? It seems like both will quite easily have the worst death tolls in this :(

It felt like the UK really dragged its feet and was reluctant to do it till the last minute. Advising people to avoid bars and restaurants but not shutting them till a week later was especially dumb.

I didn't want him to DIE but him bleating on about BEATING the VIRUS is going to be QUITE UNBEARABLE

No-win situation

Are the US still planning on getting people back to work over the next couple of weeks?

1,000 people dying a day but I see the right wing shit rags are just focusing on boris and his fake recovery.
Yeah, The Scum's headline about it really being a good Friday yesterday fucked me right off. Literally thousands of people are in mourning but none of that matters because the cunt whose indecision contributed to their deaths is feeling a lickle bit better, poor brave lamb.

The only reason Boris would have a high temperature is a particularly vigorous wank. It's a total fake to keep him out the picture whilst deaths are at their highest and make him a hero instead of a villain so evil even Thatcher would be impressed.

A US institute that predicted deaths from Covid-19 in the UK would be the highest in Europe at 66,000 has revised down its forecasts as a result of new data.

The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, based at the University of Washington in Seattle, now predicts 37,494 deaths in the UK by 4 August, although it said the figure could be between 26,000 and 62,500.

Despite the lower figure, it still predicts the UK will have the highest death toll in Europe.

Grim. It’s particularly worrying that they think we’ll “beat” Italy as well.

I’m still a little dubious about Germany’s figures and what they’re actually counting. Other than that, we have probably have the most densely populated country so that’s expected.

i think quite early on there was information that they're not counting everyone who passed with covid19 but only cases where it was the "main" cause of death or something. someone to confirm.

i'm still most fascinated by sweden. apparently there are rising voices to impose stricter rules but they are pressing ahead.

i can report quite a few people on the streets here. quite a few people i know have started going for walks and such. apparently people are getting fined for sitting on benches at the same time...

I actually might watch it for the first time. Need booze though to take a shot every time she smirks.

So glad I’m nowhere near the tv to have to put up with that ROTTEN CUNT
