2nd: Twiins - I'm Still Alive (102pts)
A pair of buxom Slovak lovelies, as the late Terry Wogan would no doubt have labelled them, the Twiins were actually originally a trio, but alas they devoured their youngest sister in the womb and the rest was history.
They're obviously not in the race for their OG3NE esque vocals, but a furtive shuftie through their back catalogue suggests they made a fatal error going for this midtempo plod anyway. Most of their material - of which there is more than you'd think, including
a hook-up with Flo Rida that he almost certainly has no memory of, is Eurotrash of the highest order, and really that's what they should have brought to the table here. You get no bonus points for going against the grain ladies!

1st: Kristina Pelakova - Horehronie (216pts)
Now this really is a bit of a tragic missed opportunity. Despite their history of failure, big things were expected of Slovakia in 2010 with this beguiling number, which was tipped to be the ethno-pop hit of the Contest in line with Estonia's top ten effort from the following year.
It was all a bit lifeless on the night though, with shaky vocals and a distinct lack of the requisite MYSTIQUE. You know you're on a hiding to nothing when even the fat bird in the shadows messes up.
Still, this song has had the most curious afterlife, with the
original promo video inexplicably topping Eurovision's Eurovision charts a full decade later. It currently sits at 18.9 million views. Only 300,000 of those bothered with the actual Eurovision performance, which probably says it all.
