I'm going to look it up on Google Streetview immediately
Is that 'Will u marry me' graffiti still on there?![]()
Come see the BIGGEST tourist attraction in Sheffield, the PARK HILL FLATS![]()
Omg the street view is SO MUCH WORSE!
Isn’t it just! And someone has STOLEN the embossed signage*!

Do you think Joanna would take £2.50 for it?
I've been offered an interview in Hemel Hempstead which I said I wasn't sure about because it's a bit out of the way from London although the school looks nice. The recruiter insists that the town itself is very nice and well connected but I'm not sure I trust her.
Which school is it in Hemel? You can PM me if you want.
Some places in Hemel are quite posh, others not so much. I wouldn't fancy commuting from London though.
@Floppet is this closed now? It's quite local to you is it not?Greater Manchester is AWASH with architectural tragedies, especially the pubs.
The Lying Slut in Farnworth (Britain's roughest pub, although my mate used to drink in there years ago and isn't currently dead so I think that's just a publicity tactic).![]()
Is that real? Like is it really a pub sponsored by a taxi firm? And of course, the beautiful town centre winery that saw new life when it was sponsored by a local taxi firm.

Yep! No idea if it's still there because I don't go to Bolton itself very often anymore and that street is a bit of a shit and the red light area is literally next door.Is that real? Like is it really a pub sponsored by a taxi firm?
It's the variety of exposed building materials in Joanna's that pleases me. Is that tree bark or crisp packets you used for the far wall?
JAYWICK CHIC
@Lucille WHY we’re you in CHISINAU? Did you take part in Moldova’s national final or something?

That actually looks quite nice, to be fair. I'm thinking I may actually have seen it lit up the last time I was in Sheffield.
Oh I wish! My friend is from there and goes back there every summer, so I decided to visit.
It really is quite
I was meant to be attending the wedding of her sister there this summer but it looks like it's being called off
There are actually some LOVELY vineyards in the countryside, and a lot of VERY OVER SPECCED fancy nightclubs in the city centre, all of which are complete fronts for BARELY CONCEALED MONEY LAUNDERING.![]()

I don't think I've ever been in there. Considering I used to walk past in daily on my way to Morrisons...@ButterTartMy friend runs The Griffin next to Olympus in town, that's still going.
Oh that's a REAL BEAUT.Radcliffe is famous for two things:
1. My best mate is from there
2. It's shit.
Mind you, they have a belter of an indoor market (not pictured)

That's the posh end. Four cafes, a Boots, and a weird little pub which is like an abstract painting of sadness round out the rest of the town.Oh that's a REAL BEAUT.

They're supposed to be renovating which, from the mock-ups I've seen, basically means they're sticking an awning up. My mate will not hear a good word about it, and he lived there for 30 years.I had a nose once mid afternoon on a Saturday but mot much was open. It looks like it had some potential which nobody has said about Radcliffe for the past 50 years i’m sure

I quite like Leigh, although I'm well aware I shouldn't. The was a restaurant-cum-bar called the Waterside (I think) which I used to love, although it was ripe for a stabbing.i
Poor thing. Oh well at least there is a tram to get to better places.
So it’s got that over other horrors such as Leigh
Anyone for a big night out when we're allowed again?

Convenient for the local bingo hall, health centre, and oh yes - mere minutes from my flat![]()
That's almost magnificent in its shitness. This gem was always a favourite (could never tell if it was open or derelict).
