It hasn't. And this is where the Brexit Bus has backfired. Boris said there would be £350million extra for the NHS if we left the EU. There wasn't. The NHS is now in deep crisis. So where's the money, Boris? Oh, that's right, a 99 year old had just walked 100 rounds of his garden to raise about the same are you spent on consultants to look for a few billion in cuts. It's all coming home to roost.
All of the papers seem to have their knives out now, and even Turkey have decided to stick the boot in. I’ve only been reading the Grauniad and the Mirror for a while now, and they’re having an absolute field day at the minute.

Well I don’t know whether or not to believe it really. The politics are just so confusing these days :(

I was thinking "have these fuckwits not heard of Google reverse image search?" - I haven't realised they'd left "Susan's" NAME BADGE in :D

Ah but what's the alternative? Knifing Boris alone wouldn't do much, you'd have to attack the whole setup and ethos around him.

The "optics". If the whole shoot gets blamed on Boris, changing the figurehead would placate a certain constituency. I agree with you, of course; it;s the entire outlook and approach that was taken by the government that's at fault but, in general, the masses will usually settled for a ritual sacrifice.

I laughed at that before realising how serious it was. The description looked like it was written by an AI training in inclusion.

Oh, I completely believe it. It reeks of Cummings, and reminds me of a lot of the fuckery going on during the election.

The problem is that too great a proportion of the general public don't really fully understand it and what the Government's aim in doing that sort of thing is.

I've just seen a clip on the news of a man who pulled his own tooth because the dentists are shut. Eurgh!

if they can't they'll have to tighten restrictions again, I guess. I think it's becoming increasingly clear that there will be no "back to normal" until there's a tested and widely distributed vaccine, as per Jark's quote

The depressing thing about that is the unlikelihood of a vaccine any time in our lifetimes. A similar (but less dangerous) virus is the common cold and well...

The reporting on this is getting very annoying. Every Monday figures drop and we get the same HALLELUJAH NUMBERS ARE DROPPING GREATLY for them then to go up again on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Scotland were reported to have had 12 deaths on Sunday. Up to 70 yesterday.

Looking like another ~900 day :wired:

But then hospitalizations have only recently plateaued and are only really falling in London, and infection number increases are steady, so meaningful falls could still be a couple of weeks away

20000 deaths my arse

REET LOVE, how many times do we have to go through this!? The weekend always is due to WEIRD REPORTING, which means Monday drops, Tuesday has some of what should have been in on Monday so seems high, Wednesday "stabilises".

Have we had a discussion about things we’re missing most in these dark days of certain death if we as much as nip out for KP and a bottle of Advocaat? I know all you hateful freaks, whores and perverts like a list so get cracking and up the torment :disco:

Oh yes I know that. It’s the press reporting that is bloody annoying. They recycle the same story every Monday, and even BBC News were reporting that it was the lowest figure of deaths in over 2 weeks yesterday. The figures are incorrect, and it is so misleading.

Surely Nurse Susan was TOO RIDICULOUS for anyone to take seriously

People ask me what I’ll be happy about when Covid 19 is gone...? I’ll tell you, the clapping for the NHS. As a deaf junior doctor, I must say it’s not inclusive for people like me, and children who go to bed early and also dogs who have sensory overload.

tee hee hee *KLUNK* I can just see some CUNTY YOUNG TORY wetting themselves over that and making her DEAF and TRANSITIONING :manson: :eyes:

Thankfully she's not been giving me THAT spiel, but the piglets (boarlets?) were very cute :)
