A rewatch TIMETABLE

I’m happy to stick to the two nights if that’s the consensus.

If there’s appetite for the ASFEs, organising a watch ad-hoc wouldn’t detract from the rest of the forum too much as they’re only an hour and fairly niche even by Eurovision standards.
 
I think my idea (actually I don't remember if it was my idea, but I've certainly pushed it) of the A Song For Europe was to mitigate against the burn rate through the main ESCs. I personally enjoy the old ESCs more than the ASFE in any case, but I'm more than happy (clearly) to do ASFE as well.

I'd be happy with ButterTart's idea above. I do think it's fair game to host anything at short notice which isn't on the list though.
 
It's fair enough. I guess I'm just too invested. They seemed to have replaced things I enjoy!

Oh yes the live Fridays are great. I don't care about Madonna but that's fine. Kylie Fever Showgirl please. Or whatever.
 
I found all of this quite stressful initially because in my head I wanted to watch every single old Eurovision but then we ended up with loads everywhere and late night ones I couldn't be arsed with. Plus other half still working means on some days I just can't/probably shouldn't.

However I'm content with dropping in and out now, which I imagine most people are. It does look like saturation at times but it's also brought in new ideas like the album/concert topics so all good really..
 
I don’t want to TREAD ON TOES seeing as we've done Madonna the last two Fridays and we've been discussing one for this Friday already.

But I do want to do a Kylie, and it will probably reduce the likelihood of me trying to whip up an ESC related one at short notice.

What other events have we got going on for the rest of this week and weekend?
 
I like the idea of a mass film viewing although quite difficult I imagine. A moopy watch of Female Trouble would be incredible if somehow it could ever happen. Might require someone clever to upload it somewhere.

Or TITANIC
 
I’m fine with twice a week though I don’t really get involved in the Saturday ones as I usually spend that with Mr K. I’m also good with the NF ones too as they’re short at least.

the drunk ones though are too much for me as I can’t stay up that late. But as people have already mentioned. No one has to watch everything!
 
As I see it...we have Eurovision Wednesday and Saturday with Saturday following the Eurovision Again calendar and we pick how we feel afterwards for a drunkwatch. The Madge Friday is turning into Live Concert Rewatch which is ace and had proper potential. The two Tuesday album listens have gone well so I'm sticking to Tuesdays for now and not doing one tonight.

That's quite a full schedule. Add to that the events like Mafia, FF, Scavenger Hunt, ASFM...it's no wonder we've been so busy; we've really made the effort to keep ourselves going. That's why I think we shouldn't have any more things for set days, otherwise it's a bit overwhelming. I was struggling to keep up and sacrificed FF (sorry @Alla).

I would hate us to burn out.
 
On the days we don't have anything going on (even if I don't participate), I do feel a bit bereft, strangely enough.

As Miss Octy says, I think the schedule is quite good as it is, we should just remember that we can dip in and out of stuff, and space new things out more evenly.
 
I'd be very happy with Eurovisions on Wednesday and Saturday with an old Eurovision for the Saturday late night. I took part in the Tuesday one, but it did feel like too much. I don't mind the Friday after concert ones, but they should probably be restricted to either National Finals or semis and I wouldn't want to do them every week.
 
The final of Popstars The Rivals the girls definitely is available, and that would work as a standalone anyway.

But I would prefer to watch Kimberley's artistic development and see the whole thing.

Film rewatches could be a good one, depending on what we pick obviously. Some friends and I have been doing a weekly watch of camp old horror shit via a group chat, and some of them have been the sort of thing Moopy might enjoy (for example this Rosemary's Baby knock-off starring Joan Collins, with Dame Eileen Atkins as an Italian nun).

Fun fact - there is no character named Sharon in the film, but in one of the foreign language dubs they change Joan's character's name to Sharon for some reason :D The UK title was I Don't Want To Be Born.
 
It's The Big Night In on BBC1 tonight which may have some appeal/snorts of derision.

Not sure I can stomach the whole thing, but I'll probably dip in and out.

Oh I know I Don’t Want to Be Born. I’ve not watched it yet but it’s on my shit horror shortlist.
 
Oh give me as many Eurovision/national final rewatches as possible. Nothing better than sitting alone drunk at 2AM watching a Song For Europe produced on a £21 budget talking to people you’ve NEVER MET :disco::disco:

Ooh yes :disco: And Showgirls. It's just the logistics...

I'd love a moopy-synced Carrie watch but not sure how many would be up for that.

Probably helps the cause a little if its something on netflix or amazon unless, as I say, someone uploads it. Though I'm sure most can download or stream films via entirely reputable sources :eyes:

No problem at all! But it literally takes 2 minutes a week to think and send the answers, so it's hardly time consuming :D A different matter is to run it, it really is exhausting and I can't wait to finish this Monday. :vomit:
 
Why don’t we watch an old Türkvizyon for a bit of variation? I’ve only seen bits and pieces and goodness knows all our (well, my :side-eye:) favourite things are present. Sluts! Boobs! Ethnic costumes! Incomprehensible and exciting foreign tongues! The shameless disgrace of countries trying to vote for themselves! Significantly increased likelihood of back hair! :disco:
