At least one person did die from his suggestion of a different drug a while ago, although I think that's because they found something with a similar name and drank it neat or something like that.

Wasnt that the couple who ingested something from their fish tank cleaner because it contained Hydroxychloroquine.

That’s the one. They ate tablets used for cleaning FISH TANKS because they had a chemical in that trump recommended.
 


this must be very scary for them - we all got this news gradually, they’ve been hit with it all not knowing any extent, just imagining :o

Yeah I read that testing there has quadrupled in the last couple of weeks. Apparently most of the new cases coming out of all the new testing this week aren't even showing any systems. So despite the numbers, it's all going as planned so far - in terms of the winding down of the first wave, at least.

I’ve booked a corona test at one of those drive through things!

p.s. I’m not missing anyone as I’m still working and have hubby & doggy at home.
 
And yet STILL no one seems to GIVE A FUCK. How quickly did last week’s news get brushed under the carpet?

Why are you booking? Is it because you have symptoms? Mr Sheena was going to book for him and asked if I wanted one as apparently I can get one. I wasn’t particularly bothered- but he then told me you needed symptoms to be considered. Maybe I’ve got that wrong. I had opened the wine by this point...
 
Yes, these tests are still the PCR ones - e.g. you could book a test if you have symptoms, and the test result will show whether you have active infection or not.

They are not antibody tests and will not tell you whether you have had it in the past or not.

And in any case the WHO says there is no evidence at present to show that previous infection confers protective immunity.
 
Not me but husband has asthma and has been struggling to breathe all week, unusually for him. Inhalers don’t seem to be having any effect so doc put him on steroids. Booked a test for him and thought I’d go along and join in. I’ve just had mild cold symptoms for ages but it’s probably psychosomatic!
 
I've just had some awful news. The Tunnocks teacake factory closed last month and you can't get hold of a CARAMEL WAFER for LOVE nor MONEY.
