I did suspect that it might have been you. It was the last song eliminated from my 'might be getting points' list. :)
And to think I've been one of the most vocal defenders of your song in this thread (Apart from megafan @Chlammy). Willowy folk is one of my more listened-to genres, after generic trance bangers and bellowing Europeans obvs.

I never revisited Jennifer Paige but I do remember that it had some really nice instrumental elements towards the end of the song.

The song that did grow the most for me (after initially hating it) was the one with the zebra.

i for one am quite happy with the selection after all.

can't believe we have to wait for tomorrow for results :(

I can finally openly agree with @ameraal. Yes, Kosheen are indeed better than their singles. My favorite album is probably their second one which doomed their career. The electronic rock sound they went for was great and the first single from that was the worst song on the album.

I loved the Jennifer Paige song, but there was a few better choices on the Starflower album. I LOVE this one:

In fairness, I think your song was comparatively well received. Was it Ron that basically playlisted it on first listen?

This is true. I just hope it received points from the real music lovers too.

Tbh, I kept thinking about YOU! How much you hated Conan Osiris and how much you would hate this too. Didnt stop me though! :disco:

i don't mean to be greedy. do you want me to send you some lovely house with killer afro vocals?

Basically, send me a list of songs and albums to listen to please.

I WAS GOING TO TEXT YOU THIS EXACT THING!

But really the beauty of Bassekou's work is what he does with that Malian instrument. I like his wife's vocals too.

i wonder what my neighbours make of fata morgana blasting hourly at mine.

they probably think i've snapped.

I flip flopped between the one I sent and this. This is great but I feel the first five seconds of To The Madness is a bit more INSTANT and I didn't think people would put anywhere near the effort in to listen as they did :D

Basically Jennifer Paige's album is great and you should all stream it now x

It really is great! The Devil's in the Details is excellent too, though a BIT long for this competition I think.
