MORNING

I'm semi-hungover after spending all afternoon drinking wine and lounging about in the hammock on the balcony. Thankfully seem to have just gotten away with feeling exhausted and acid reflux, but it's enough to keep me working from home rather than heading to the office. Maybe Boris should just encourage us all to drink to keep us indoors...
 
I'd love a balcony. We always said we don't mind having our own garden because we're 2 minutes from the beach so can have BBQs etc there.

Until lockdown happened :( we do have a massive shared garden that's very pretty but I can't sit in my pyjamas and unwashed hair because the neighbours are always in it.

The fantasy of a public park or beach replicating a private garden is total myth. Sadly.
 
I was up at the crack of dawn and have just got back from my UNIFORM MEASURING. I start my shadowing shifts on Wednesday and I’d be surprised to have my uniform by then :D

Oh I can quite believe it. We do spend a lot of time in friends gardens usually which is nice.

Problem is to get a garden, weve been looking at 2 bed houses. Most are a similar size to our flat just with some outdoor space, but mortgage repayments would be at least double what our current mortgage is. Just for a garden. So we can't really justify yet :(

Until we get a dog. Then we totally can.

Indeed. We don't have a garden and I am actually not THAT bothered as, like Rachey, we have the beach and a common opposite us and that's the trade off. But it would be nice to have both, I admit. Our balcony has been our lifesaver this lockdown, though. Our neighbours (who we get on really well with) are always outside too so it feels a bit like socialising, even though we're well and truly distanced! I do wonder how this coming week of rain is going to skew things, though...
 
Morning. Just had a customer in the office for the first time in over a month, which was weird. Turned out to be a very vocal Brexiter as well so I begrudged risking my life for him.
 
I'm in two minds about the rain, yes it'll likely keep me inside (HURRAH for lockdown) but it might make me go insane :(
 
I can't decide either. The weather has been LOVELY and provided some much needed relief, but it's also made me realise what I'm missing!

I really enjoyed the day of rain we had last week.

A very good friend of mine works for them and apparently they're ridiculously busy! I imagine everyone is having the same idea...
 
Grrr stop emailing me questions you can easily find out the answer to yourself. Did those automated tweets appear? Well why not look at the Twitter feed and find out rather than asking me? Do you think I DELETED THEM ALL ON A WHIM?

Actually fair enough that is the kind of thing I might do :D
 
Do you remember me telling you how I accidentally told all my staff on a video call that another member of my staff was pregnant and she was still only 10 weeks and I was mortified?

She's only gone and lost it.

I know, right!? Obviously it's nothing to what she is going through and I'm not claiming anything of the sort, but FUCK ME, it's just my luck. And now she has to deal with everyone knowing. ARGHH!

Was she upset/annoyed that you accidentally told people or did she take it quite well?

People often tell everyone at 10 weeks. I thought that was a fairly safe time :(

Don't be too disheartened. I've read a lot of articles where people have had miscarriages in 'private' and it's been really difficult to just act normal and put on an act infront of people as no one knew.
 
Anyone is welcome to come and sit in my garden, as long as you don't mind doing a bit of weeding and pruning while you're there. I'll leave the side gate open and wave through the (closed) patio doors.

Thanks Star. Just waiting for the right time to send the email. Seems a bit harsh while I'm furloughed and they're all stressed.
