If you were a Pokémon gym leader, what would your gym and line up look like?

I only made it to Diamond and Soul Silver, so I'm not good at the new generations.

I always went for grass when I was younger, but now that I've matured a bit I feel more inclined towards water. So I'd be based somewhere coastal and quite rural. There'd be a lighthouse nearby that would luminate the area so trainers at sea know where to go, and the gym would be based in a cave tied to legendary sea Pokémon mythology.

I'd have a rule that battling Pokémon shouldn't use any offensive move that causes damage to the location as it would be a heritage site.

In terms of line up, I'd only have three Pokémon. A Krabby, a Vaporeon and finally a simple but underestimated Seel, named Selkie.

My badge would be the Ballad Badge, and would be a greyish-silver, like a seal's coat.

What would your gym be like?

What on earth next? Using only Labour candidates from constituencies in the North East between 1945 and 1997, who would you invite over for a dinner party?

I'd like to apply the same question based on the toys from Play School.

I'd be Hamble.

Electric is my initial choice, the badge would be the Shock Badge.

My gym would be a disused power plant with the battle area having electricity pylons in every corner.

Pikachu is my first choice, naturally. Electrode, Jolteon and my final trump card, Manectric with Thunder.

I'd have a team of Pokemon with weird, unconventional move set ups. Like the Alakazam build where he uses various elemental punches.

Or just 5 Haunters and a Lickitung.

To be fair, we did have an ENORMOUS Pokemon topic on Moopy with lots of different posters involved, so I can see the rationale behind this one (though it maybe requires a BIT more specific knowledge than I have to participate in properly).

A bold choice of topic of Moopy Moop :D

don’t really know how to answer though. I’m not a good swimmer and sometime have sea-related nightmares, but I’d like a water gym because water Pokemon are the best. I need to involve a Lapras or five at least.

and some electric and fire types to fuck up people who are just going to use anti-water attacks

I'd be an extremely homoerotic FIGHTING type gym leader, on account of my red blooded and intense personality. Me and my Pokemon would dress similarly and work out together.
