I chose that very good mix of the Dannii track as I was certain All I Wanna Do or Disremembrance would crop up in some sort of remixed form.
 
I forgot about Kate Ryan when I was doing my list. Voyage Voyage and Desenchantee are fab workout accompaniments.
 
And with that, we have 400(!) competitors in Moopy Dance Anthems Rate 2020. Tomorrow I'll launch the first of the semi-finals, and on Friday will be the drunk results show. Details to follow.
 
How come when something closes you remember loads of other stuff? I do really like everything I submitted though. Benny Benassi ‘Satisfaction’ should’ve made my list to be fair.
 
I could have nominated 50 that werent on the list and I submitted last. So. Many. Bangers.

Biggest casualties so far are Cher's Believe and Sash's Encore Une Fois - top ten placings in 2015 yet sensationally not nominated at all a mere five years later.

I've no idea why Moopy hate them both with such a burning vigour these days, but I've a sneaking suspicion that it's because they were respectively outed last year as a Brexiter and a baby farmer.
 
Very much here for Honey (Madame Misery BRM of course). 3 amazing definitive mixes: Queen Bee, Chicane and Deep Dish are all fucking divine. Even the King Bee is more than just decent. Oh silly Billie and her "no that button you misogynist" recording session dramas.

I swerved Believe as we need to cover new ground and BELIEVE it or not I went the populist route with the inevitable bout of indulgence thrown in there just to keep myself going.
 
As for Danielle Jane, I didn't feel she would pull the votes with what I would wanted to have chosen and i assumed we had enough loons to choose her tunes.

I'd have chosen All I Wanna Do. The single edit, sure, but the Unleashed-unearthed edit and Tiny Tim Mekon Dream Dub are my personal Dannoushka centre spread moments.
 
I had noticed that Encore Une Fois was missing earlier, but I actually think that Ecuador is better. Sorry.

I'm leaving Encore Une Fois out and tweeting Sash! from the Moopy account to tell him we used to love it but now we think it's shit. He'll be like 'shit man, no way'.
 
Anyway, the semi-finals have now been randomly drawn, ensuring that everyone's nominations are spread out across all five. There are some absolute corkers in the first semi-final (dropping tomorrow!).
 
Btw is this going to be an actual rate i.e. we have to mark absolutely everything out of 10?
