i remember me and my friends broke into the derelict children’s hospital on hackney road in london some years ago. walking around you could see eery cartoon figures up of donald duck and mickey mouse. there was even old cancer imaging equipment stuff there. it was both eery yet fascinating.

it’s obviously been demolished since and luxury flats being built in its place. only the façade survives.

There was always something quite alarming and (I would definitely say) haunted about that building. I normally fall into despair and rage when they rip old buildings down, but I was honestly quite relieved to see the back of that one, as much as I’d definitely have been up for a nose around inside before it was demolished

This is instantly my new favourite building EVER. I see from Wikipedia that the shorter tower is empty (OMG imagine getting in there ) and, even better, “the revolving restaurant above it stopped turning” (if very much )
