Yes! David Gilmour 'discovered' her, played on The Sensual World album and they've live duetted Comfortably Numb together, amongst other things.

Again, such a strange sound picture. She's really undervalued as an experimental artist, although many of the most celebrated figures in the underground love her.

Jig of Life sounds like what some of the more experimental folk singers were doing in the late 2000s. I'm fairly sure that no one was doing this sort of traditional tune with such scary lyrics in 1985.

Yes, I think figuratively but also literally as the drowning woman on a radio. The metaphor works so so well.
