Festival Di Soldi - Running Order OUT

We'll presumably still have Eurovision Again on Saturday 6th and an album sync listen on the Tuesday after. Personally, 48 hours to vote seems like a very strict timeline as well. I'd feel like I'd want at least a week to listen to the songs a couple of times before making my decision on points.

48 hours to listen to 20 songs and form an opinion on them all is way too short.

I’m just a but conscious about it OVERRUNNING. I’m sure we don’t want it lasting until JULY.
 
Would a week or so for each show work better?

Something like:
Wednesday 10th - First semi-final results+second semi listen
Wednesday 17th - Second semi-final results
Wednesday 24th - Final results

Although ideally I’d want to hold the final over a weekend so that would push it to the 27-28th. That said people should know the songs fairly well by that point so I suppose a final on Sunday 21st could work?

I am a fan of the 21st option personally.
 
I personally wouldn't mind short turnaround times but maybe a week to vote in each stage and run the semi-finals concurrently would be a good compromise between giving people time and not dragging it on too long?

Depends if we're expected to vote in only the semi-final we're part of or both though
 
Right after some THOUGHT I’m now thinking:

Thursday 4th - Live listen to BOTH semi’s with a break between both, obviously you only have to vote in the semi-final you’ve been drawn in but participants and non-participants are welcome to vote in both.

Thursday 11th (or Wednesday 10th?) - Live RESULTS for both semi-finals, the little TWIST and the voting for the final should be open by MIDNIGHT on the Friday (or Thursday)

Sunday 14th - I’ll close the voting at NOON, then I’ll begin the final results from mid-afternoon onwards.
 
Would holding the two semis at the same time not defeat the point of having semis? Why not just do one round in that case? The first on a Tuesday and the second on the Thursday would work better I think, so you have a chance to get to know them in groups.

I don't think it's actually a problem if it takes a little longer for the whole game to play out. Ag's event only went so quickly because he didn't bother having semi finals at all. It won't bother me if it takes until then end of June for this to finish and I'd rather have enough time to listen and vote in both semi finals.
 
Right so let’s go with Wednesday and Thursday next week as the live listens for each semi-final, give a week for voting in each semi, with the qualifiers being revealed on Thursday (11th) evening. We can discuss a final date closer to the time.

There’ll also be 12 qualifiers from each semi-final, so a nice even 24 participant final :)

I completely agree with this.

Also if you're going to run the semis concurrently because people don't have to vote in both of them, you need to allow longer for the final voting as you can't assume everyone's already familiar with all the songs.

Oh it's definitely more fun to have the eyebrow raising outliers thrown into the mix.

I went with my heart in the end, not remotely confident at ALL, but I love the song so fuck everyone :)
