Tuesday is finally forced to face new Twitter

9am teams meeting. Followed by a 9.30am teams meeting and then a 10am meeting and so on and so on.
That’s shockingly accurate. Another meeting to dial into after this, and I already tuned out during the first one and started seeing how many Mortal Kombat characters I could name.

I had a terrible night's sleep. Too much news, too much horror, too much feeling of helplessness.

Still, the sun is up and we're still here, eh?

It's day FOUR of SAWING and DRILLING etc next door. I thought he must be building something ENORMOUS but he's making a fucking WOODEN RAISED FLOWER BED. GET ON WITH IT MAN IT CAN'T BE THAT COMPLICATED.

I think for me the balance between wanting to stay informed and protecting my mental health has been the narrative throughout 2020. In that way I’m glad school is reopen for me to focus on the storylines within that little micro-bubble of humanity.

I received an email from uni last night saying we’d be back in September as usual, albeit with restricted time on campus at first, which has lifted my mood shit loads :)

I took these herbal sleep tablets last night which helped me drift off, thank god

I’m not used to not sleeping and it’s making me cranky

I'm just totally flat with everything. I've had enough of the news but it's hard to switch off when you have responsibilities to consider.

I know I'm BANGING ON but my CO-CONSPIRATOR has just suggested to my boss that he furlough me from June 10th (last day possible) and apparently he reacted FAIRLY POSITIVELY to the suggestion.

KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED LOVES, THREE MONTHS OF CHARITY SHOPPING AND LYING ABOUT IN A HAMMOCK GENERALLY BEING FABULOUS HERE I COME :disco:

Feeling in a bit of a spiral because of work. I won’t bore you with the details because I think it’ll all sound quite minor and I’ll just look like a basket case.

but if the straitjacket fits...

Ron Dog stood up for me to the police once, and spent a good hour avoiding his own detention in the aftermath. My boy x

Same, I can sort of predict it now. Went to bed after Trump's talk of unleashing the military and the BAME Covid report being delayed and just lay awake for hours.

Trump brandishing his bible (well, "A" bible) this morning as the teargas flooded in the streets behind him was the first thing I saw this morning. I just despair.

Cycled to Sale waterpark, sank some cans, cycled home listening to trance. I feel like a teenager again.

You can be INDULGED for now but if I'm going to have to do all the cooking from now on it's soon going to be MY KITCHEN MY RULES I'm afraid :kim:

I'm looking forward to the rain, but I'm meant to be going to my parents for garden lunch on Saturday, so it needs to go away before then.

Ive refused to water the grass because were not far off a drought, so that deffos needs a drink

I actually quite like a bit of rain but my life is so fucking good at the moment with the beach every night that I really could do with it a couple of weeks later.

or when the pubs reopen, basically.

I don’t mind a bit of rain but it’s going to be bloody FREEZING around here the next few days. I don’t want 12°C highs in June thank you.

12° is pushing it. I'd settle for about 18° quite happily though. And fortunately that's usually pretty much what we get.
