Festival Di Soldi - Semi-Final 2 - Playlists & Recap CLOSES Thursday 11th June 12PM

I believe this semi was even worse than the last. Y’all need to realize that when something is experimental, obscure and really ‘different’ it STILL needs to be GOOD.

I didn't realise Maxee of Guyana fame was the singer who died a few years back when she cut her neck on a broken wine glass. I remember that news story at the time thinking it sounded horrific. :(

RIP :(

That’s quite a depressing take to me - to be honest it just sounds like you need to listen more to different types of music

Oh she was one of Brownstone. What a horrible demise.

How we define GOOD is really up to each individual. Musically, I thought this was by far the more interesting semi.

There are definitely more songs here that I want to listen to again. And quite a few acts whose back catalogues I'll be taking a delve into.

And I really do appreciate the more interesting entries, yet somehow end up defaulting to the generic dance bops!

OMG! I didn't recognise her, but I do remember that (not sure but I think I posted it here). Poor girl :(

I made this thread, luv. Now can you and I please bond over Vanilla Ninja some more before we kill each other.

And I think I know who's behind another one, but I won't say because I need to cover my tracks :)

Not sure it's Rita. Jomanda have been discussed plenty on here if you look back. I reckon Sorb.

Rita could shock us with something VERY RECENT (that's post 2000), remember it's not always that obvious :)

I reckon RS, Kate and possibly Octophone (if she's taking part) are behind some of the more experimental choices.

Lucille is also a bit REAL MUSIC if I recall.

The terrible X Factor one? (Sorry Rita, I still hope you're Jomanda cos I like that one :D)

I reckon Aérea Negrot is Octy, especially after reading that she is part of Hercules & Love Affair.

Jacques seems pretty obvious too, but we had a few surprises in ASFM, so you never know. But as I vote for the songs, I don't really care who's behind.

Of course! Btw, I had Jomanda's #1 US dance hit in the shortlist for @ButterTart's Dance Anthems HOT SHIT, but I thought it didn't have any chance so it was a waste.
