Should we bring back Moopyrate?

It does seem strange that the mere mention of Moopyrate by that awful @KindaCool seems to have resulted in various of us going very slightly insane (not to mention spiralling just a tiny bit out of control) in the lounge ever since :side-eye:

OH MY GOD IT’S A CURSE! What with that and the sickening evil cast upon us by the resurrection of Joanna Dee’s, we’re all DOOMED! :shock:

I was hand over bra, but my companion may have done more than that. He was even gayer than I, but I suppose all bets are off when Wicca is involved :shock:

A gay forum site (gay-niche chat lounge) doesn't run a regime like Moopyrate and then just walk away from it WILLY NILLY.

I do think we need another Moopyrate.
 
I'm not sure if moopyrate is necessarily the answer, but it does feel to me that the effort some people have made with various events and competitions through lockdown ought to be recognised. And what better way than being able to add 'moopyrate winner 2020' to your CV?

I was thinking if were to do it, then just reveal the top 20 and then all other positions on request.
 
Or do it similar to WITAY? You can only be rated if you give CONSENT to.
 
Aside from my fear of spreading the winner's curse (it's like opening the puzzle box from Hellraiser), 14-39 isn't much of a mandate. The forum now also seems to veer towards meltdown every few weeks regardless, so there's plenty of gay drama without it.

Soldi's idea would be a good one for if it does ever come back. I don't really want to take part in Moopyrate again.
 
@Soldi only wants it to come back so he can sit there winding everyone up into an increasingly irrational and hysterical state and clapping with delight as everyone mauls each other to death :side-eye:
