Moopy's Greatest Dance Anthems: Semi-Final 3! RESULTS @ 9pm

I've not heard these Paul Van Dyk/Rachel McFarlane and Sub Sub/Daft Punk mash-ups. These could be possible disruptions for my votes for sure.

Not heard What You Need in aaaages.
It’s proper hard to find the proper Paul Van Dyk/Rachel McFarlane song. The one on the playlist is the approved version which sounds very similar to - but for legal reasons isn’t - For An Angel.

That used to come on every night at the club I went to when I was in sixth form. Nights out were so much better in the olden days.

Holy shit, this takes Rachel McFarlane to a higher plane and she is a heavy built woman.

Which one is you BT?

Okay, not enough Melanie. Ain't No Love is such a Deee-Lite rip-off, but every once in a while just hits the spot. That's a 3 in 1 as I'm hearing something else in there too. Great reminder of 1999 dance music whether it came out then or not. This has put me in the mood for some Chemical Brothers, the one with the video looking out a window I think.

I was skimming the Paul Van Dyk surface recently after having a craving for We Are Alive and The Riddle Tell Me Why. I do like White Lies, but I have a feeling he just wanted to meet Jessica Sutta :D

Adele should be ashamed of herself. No wonder she stopped eating.

And Sinead O'Connor really should have been the 3rd Grace singer.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the Bicep entries. I haven't voted for any because might lies with the GLORY DAYS rather than more recent bangers. They're also such a MOOD!

I can't believe I've never ventured beyond the first parade of singles, stopping at I Will Be Your Girlfriend. This is lovely. What a fantastic cold miserable bitch she was.

Very Saint Etienne / Everything But The Girl lyrically. The 12” similar but slightly different mix is fabulous too but I thought I’d submit the shorter edit.

Sorry I know I'm dropping unrelated tracks in this thread but forgot all about this

I'm afronted not to have known this. K-Klass were 90s dance maestros. Although Talk 2 Me, which I bought without even hearing it beforehand, wasn't their vintage standard.

Nothing in the World and Helleluja are great, so this wasn't a surprise at all. I'm surprised I never looked this up before, I used to go through them all.

This reminds of whenever I'm in Belgium I always put the car radio on and get ready to take note of the tunes. A future keeper.

One of my favourites things about this is that the lyrics are surprisingly strong and actually tell a cohesive story.

“You took all I had, threw it back in my face” is an unusually grim lyric for such an uplifting melody.

Anyway, I've listened to your suggestions. I've discarded your suggestions. And now I'm ready to mark them. My votes are sponsored by my favourite 90s footnote who looks like J-Lo's mother.
