If you can't connect with the lyrics just because they are in a foreign language, you aren't trying hard enough. The lyrics to my entry are DEVASTATING.

We had a thread about this recently! I do like a funny/clever/lefty lyric but it’s not everything. If I can’t understand them it will be all about the instrumentals, so any drippy ballads will be getting NUL POINTS.

That was me trying to run through ANY OLD SHITE to try and attract the Moopy masses (unsuccessfully). I am usually a bit of a SPONGE.

All my favourite songs are in English, simply because I can connect to them. Some songs would not WORK if I didn’t know what the hell they were saying?

Surely this is not true of DANCE MUSIC for example? Did all of the 50 songs you submitted for Buttertart’s dance rate contain PROFOUND lyrics that really SPOKE TO YOU? :D

NO, but it’s all about context. Although I won’t lie and say to you I haven’t had many a breakdown over quite a few of the songs on @ButterTart ’s list of many dance and trance HITS.

I don’t see what some people’s problem is though. I seem to be one of the few / the only one to have to feel bad for sharing something from the country I’ve been living in for 6 years and listen to a lot. They are songs that I really like and I hope someone else likes them too.

I’d like to win sure, but I don’t care if I get snubbed again and again because that’s Moopy. (Well I do care a bit if I’m a DNQ after all that shit in Semi 2 but whatever it’s over)
 
Anyway I’m spitefully very happy that Kala is focusing on foreign language here, it exists! I can’t stand a snob, especially with Eurovision being so popular on here.

and of course so happy that @Kalabaliken is back to do this.

in a twist though, I’m not able to use my Kalavision entry :D

I don't have a problem at all and I definitely don't think you should feel bad about sending what you love. Any draggings from me have been in good fun but perhaps deep inside I really am a mean bully. :(

well it hasn’t just been you, let’s just say that!
My feelings about it have been only between
“oh fuck it I don’t want to do this”
“right now I’m going to do it anyway and you’re going to LIKE IT CUNTS”
“well this is a hugely popular song and I love it so here is it, but oh a man is singing so I won’t hold my breath”

#3 seems the most appropriate I guess
