Kalavision Song Contest - Semi Final Running Order Reveal 2000 BST 02/07

Entries are now coming in and we have a good mix so far!

Following on from an issue that has arisen already, I'm making a slight change to the rules.

I originally said I would allow multiple entries by the same artist, and if someone submitted a song by an artist already chosen, I would let them know, so they can change if they want, but if they don't want to change then it would only be fair if Igo back to the person who submitted first and let them know the artist has been chosen by someone else, and it all becomes a bit of an administrative nightmare.

So therefore I am amending the rules slightly and only allowing ONE song per group, artist or singer, and it's first come first served. So the rules match actual Eurovision in that a person can only be involved in ONE song. Hope this makes sense. When you submit a song I will let you know if it has been accepted or if you have to choose something else.

So although you have until 30 June to get your song in, it's first come first served, so I would advise you to get cracking!
 
Using this as an opportunity to show that I'm not a one-trick pony. My artist or artists are well over the legal age!

Not that I expect it to be any more broad-appealing, but if I get a shit result I WILL be back to sending twinks so be warned :disco:
 
Folks, please don't reveal ANY info re chosen artists until the reveal has happened!
 
I'm also TRYING to match countries up with songs as CLOSE as possible but if I get 15 songs by Uzbek artists it might prove a little difficult... :D
 
I just went to the supermarket in shorts and a T-shirt as it was quite nice, then as I was walking home it started pissing it down. I decided to run half of the way, and just as I did my song for this came on my headphones and I had a proper moment to it :disco: I'm very happy with my choice!
 
So I originally said I would launch this on 1 July but I realise that is a Wednesday and we usually have stuff on then. Would anyone object if I moved it to the Friday 3rd July? I can't remember if we have anything planned on Fridays?

I currently have 24 entries, so it's pretty likely there will be two semi finals. I would prefer to run them consecutively rather than concurrently, with voting open for a week for each, then the final the third week.
 
I'm not sure we do have anything on Wednesdays anymore, unless VoR was planning something for Moopyvision decade. Friday has been ButterTart's dance anthems results but I believe this Friday is the last semi final and there may be a plan for the final voting period to be longer than a week.

I won't be free on a Friday night but by all means go ahead.


I would just say though...

3 golden rules for running a Moopy competition:

1. Pick a date and post it in Post 1. Stick to it.
2. State your rules and post them in Post 1. Stick to them.
3. Follow through on everything you've said you'll do.


But yes, it's your competition, so just do whatever you want.

Next Friday is free. The Friday after I may have something planned, but I can work around Kalavision.
 
Kala just do it when you want to and the people will FLOCK

That said, the semi finals will lose momentum, as songs are cut out and I’m not sure how you’ll get round that.
