Yes the most recent final was significantly smaller than ASFM. Although I spread ASFM over a day during PEAK lockdown. Having said that losing 10 or so players probably didn't help.
 
I absolutely LOVED ASFM being over the day. That said, it was a nice day, and we were still very much locked down so I don't think it could quite be recreated. A drinky weekend/mid weeknight would also work.

But yeah, just do YOU.

It will probably only take TWO hours max to go through all the songs and react on them anyway. We can work something out nearer the time.
 
I don’t know if I should send a song I like or a song that has a better chance to do well.
 
I've attempted to submit something that I think will do well but also fits firmly within my BRAND.
 
Although now I feel bad I shelved my more experimental entry, so there's still time for a change of heart.

I adore it and those who didn’t gave it points are dead to me.

I also love my ASFM song, what I said about it has been taken out of context.
 
No spoilers about my song except that it WON'T be crashing out at last place in the semi final this time because there won't be one! Right Kala?

NO SPOILERS are going to be be allowed including revealing ANY songs you voted for, points given, any clues on your song, and so on, until the results are revealed.

As for semis, don't know yet. At the moment it's touch and go. But I think any more than 30 songs means semis are needed as it gets too long and also only voting for 10 songs out of a possible 30 means the voting will be boring.

The problem is he doesn'\t just MAKE a decision. He umms and aahs throughout the thread. If he just decides and sticks with a plan from the start, people won't complain.
 
I don’t have a problem with semis, apart from not being able to qualify from them, but I wonder how it’s possible to get past the loss of steam and voters when several are knocked out.

the voting seems to be skewed by the amount of propaganda posted about it too, but I suppose that will happen in either system

The problem is when I DO make a decision people moan the fuck out of it. And sometimes things can change track over the course of things. Do we really want FOUR songs by the same artist?

Last time around I was too laidback and willing to take people's opinions but this time round I am trying to be more firm.
 
OK. I said this to you last time though. Just go for it.

Say some dates. Stick to them.
Say 'if we get more than 32 songs there will be two semis. This is when they'll be. If we get less than 32 we will not have semis. This is when it will be.'

Anyway,I'll shut up now. I'm not trying to be horrible - I'm trying to actually help. I think you'll get fewer complaints if you just grab the bull by the horns and go for it (like there was no complaining in the Soldi threads really).

An extreme solution to the loss of voters would be say that anyone who enters a contest must vote in the final, and if they don't they're blocked from the next ASFM/FDS/KV contest.
 
I have entered this competition.

For some unknown reason, I've chosen the least hateful of my two options.

In the highly unlikely event someone has chosen my artist, i'll enter the other one :D
 
I've found a song, but I'm going to give it a couple days to make sure I don't end up hating it as much as Lova and her insipid, listless voice. It's different!
