I'm having a second listen with a more sober mind and this semi-final is a bit tragic tbh. Is the second semi-final officially the place where songs go to DIE?

I've actually changed my mind about @Indie's Gogol Bordello entry. I hate it now. I was literally BEGGING for it to end. A song can only be 6+ minutes if it's high calibre enough to be in the experimental, obscure etc thread. Otherwise keep your SHIT under 3 minutes.

Blümchen's song could actually be good without that terrible backing track. We call it dwarf disco in Esthonia.

Listening non-drunk:

Belgium - Wow! What a track. It takes a bit of getting used to as the beats are a bit off-centre, but it really gets into you. The video is like a black male Sia (hashtaglouiswalsh)
Canada - I feel Kala has chosen this country for this song for a reason on the basis of the three Canadians at my work who are all very long-winded too. I'm assuming it's a national trait. Don't hate it, but it doesn't warrant 6 minutes of airtime.
Czech Republic - nothing much to say about this. Sounds like something that should be reserved for Track 11 of a mediocre album by an ex-member of Hepburn.
Spain - the one song I remember from my drunken watch on Friday. This QOL is... a choice. The video... is also... a choice.
Russia - another 7 minute epic. What is wrong with everyone? This doesn't really kick off for me at all though I have a funny feeling that the main riff will stay in my head for a while.
Germany - I just hate these Smurfs sounding songs.
