Mine was Portrait Of A Lady On Fire 9/10
 
First Cow, the day before they shut down cinemas. A solid 8/10.
 
I miss going to the cinema so much. It makes me sad.
 
Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, I believe.

5/10. I could go on quite the nerd rant. The only worse Star Wars film is Rogue One.
 
Uncut Gems, which I enjoyed I GUESS, but the anxiety the film caused was so intense I had to leave in the middle for a fag and a glass of red wine.

Adverts for this film are still plastered all over double-deckers in London, I cry evertim because they remind me of probably the last marketing campaign for a film before cinemas shut down :(

I feel the same whenever I see the Wonder Woman 84 branded Cheetos in the supermarket :(

It's like all the adverts in shop windows for Easter and Mothers Day fading and peeling for 3 months.
 
Jumanji 2 st the Vue in Printworks. It was fucking disgusting.
 
I went to see Military Wives on 14th March so things were already shaky, only one other pair in the screening but not sure how much COVID was a factor in that. Was generous and gave it 8/10
 
Our Showcase de Lux is open. The more local standard Showcase isn't, though.
 
I won a bunch of free tickets for my local (indie) but they're only showing old stuff to start with. The Princess Bride is good though right? (I've never seen it)
 
I should go to my local Odeon since they’ve started charging for my limitless card again but there’s absolutely fuck all I want to watch.

Old Batman? Star Wars? Harry Potter? LORD OF THE FUCKING RINGS? :goodgrief:
 
Personally, I find The Princess Bride a bit "you had to be there" but then I find a lot of those 80s Hollywood popcorn films very much the same.
 
I would go see some older stuff when the cinemas open here (maybe this Friday, I can never understand which regions get to do what here). The indies mostly showed old movies anyway and there were a few that got cancelled that I would be happy to go to.

Meh. It’s a weird one as it seems to be far more popular with boys. I’ve never really liked it.

I’ve booked to see The Shawshank Redemption on a Monday as it’s the only “old” film playing that I’ve not seen before on the big screen. All the others are ones that regularly get anniversary or special screenings.
