campaign back ON, in some form - new single with Burna Boy out tomorrow, called My Oasis

it's not from the original album tracklist and apparently an EP is coming so it seems they/the label may have decided to START AGAIN. hopefully this is another sparkly bop a la Dancing/Sleep

Did the Demi Lovato duet do anything? I quite liked it but not heard too much about it

It was a big old flop Halli love! To Die For did OK, but the last hit was How Do You Sleep a year ago. I'm sensing label politics and behind-the-scenes panic - this has to at least give him a good UK hit.

but is it a new EP? I saw this in another place and it makes no sense or logic whatsoever. Are THEY (:eyes:) in a similar Ellie situation?

I fucking hate Sam Smith and everything they've done but it still baffles me how Record Labels still get cold feet after having two(!!) huge global streaming/airplay hits. Sure they had two more singles but they're hardly Ava Max who's also "coming soon" since 2018.

it's a new EP, they've just grouped previous tracks into EPs for streaming purposes I guess. Yeah, not releasing an album with How Do You Sleep was madness, wtf.

Is their album completely cancelled then? I assumed they'd just release it under a different less pandemic-y name. For what it's worth Dancing With a Stranger is a BOP and I hope it makes a final album somewhere down the line.

I think they scraped the album because it was called To Die For? Surprised they are starting from scratch.

I liked the track with Demi but I actually forgot it even existed. :(

First couple of plays reveal something potentially really good in a very understated way. Let's see how this grows

That video of him crying whilst stuck in his multi million pound well equipped abode throughout lockdown put me right off him.

I think even millionaires are allowed to be sad about being housebound and the world burning

:manson:

You do realise it was all a big joke and they were doing it for attention. They did not mean any malice by it so that is OK.

They also had coronavirus apparently. Never bothered to get tested or anything but they know they had it.

really enjoying this still. he's also on this lovely duet with Nigerian artist Tiwa Savage which basically sounds like one of his own glittery numbers from this era
