A homage to all the lost music out there, inspired by @SDF admitting he STOLE his brother's Jagged Little Pill.

Someone at school borrowed my copy of White Lilies Island by Natalie Imbruglia. At the end of term she made some excuse about it falling down the back of her locker or something. I have never forgiven or forgotten

It's a problem that just doesn't exist any more but it was always SO annoying at the time. I have given you something I like so RESPECT MY THINGS!

Am I alone in this?

Weirdly I was thinking only today how I never got my Blood on the Dancefloor CD back from Lisa Lord and whoever nabbed my Spice Girls Greatest Hits with DVD, I still do not know to this DAY.

I thought you were JOKING :D

But since we're on this topic.

My opposite neighbour "lost" my Super Street Fighter III and gave me back an empty case.

My first year flatmate at uni eventually gave back my season 5 of Family Guy I think it was, on the day we were all moving out and after WEEKS of asking, and the case was completely cracked to smithereens.

Still fumming.

A good friend took my Super Extra Gravity by The Cardigans. I even told her at the time, SCARRED by my experience at school, that I wanted it back SOONEST as I really liked the cover. Never saw it again :(

I brought it up years later and she said she had nightmares every so often about me asking for it back :D

Should have bought you a new one PLAIN AND SIMPLE

I don't think I ever loaned anyone a CD or cassette!

I've always had a dfferent taste in music compared to most of my friends/family. I was oddly protective of my CD collection when I was younger too. I can't say I recall them ever asking to borrow anything and I suspect I probably would have said no. :D

You were spared many hours of heartache!

I have two older sisters. I know full well the younger stole my Gloria Estefan tape ‘Into The Light’ though she never confessed. The scenario I’ve decided is she took it to school lent it to some wee bitch or two to score points and never got it back and decided to deny all knowledge. It couldn’t be the other sister, she only played acid house.

I hope you bear that in mind when writing your will

I lost lots of dvds at university to friends

actually I then left my ex with most of my dvds when I moved out of our house too :D

but that’s less leant and more wtf am I going to do with 100s of dvds

I lost a whole bunch to a former associate who turned out to be a dick: I eventually rebought them all although I couldn't get the exact edition of Nurse With Wound's "Soliloquy For Lilith" and still have a weird hankering to correct this...

When I used to work in an especially shit local radio station (that got absolutely nowhere, because of this little known thing called the internet) I brought in the Vengaboys - The Party Album as a back-up cd that mysteriously vanished.

It was the second album I ever owned.

Ooh were you a presenter? That's what I always wanted to be when I was younger and I did a couple of years volunteering in hospital radio. My favourite thing was I was on right before a retired lady called Rosie Boxer who started every show with "I'm Rosie Boxer and this is my Box Of Delights. Now sit back, relax and let me take your load." For reals!

She sounds amazing!

I was mainly a producer but presented a fair bit as well.

Let me take your load :D

I always feel a bit  when I hear about hospital radio these days, I wonder if it’s just the ex-CFR people who gets why

do they have Hospice radio too?

I'm not sure I've never not had one back. Possibly a few where I've said 'just keep it' after it's been a while though.

Now BOOKS on the other hand are a different matter. Quite a few of those have never been returned. But then equally I've got at least two books in my bookcase that I remember borrowing from someone, but can't on earth remember who.

Sharon O’Kane stole stole my Cyndi Lauper She’s So Unusual from my bloody bedroom. She would have stolen the milk from your tea and came back for the sugar, that one.

Sharon O'Kane should bloody well be ashamed of herself! I hope she feels a pang of guilt whenever Girls Just Wanna Have Fun comes on

I'm not sure anyone ever wanted any CDs off me, so I can't relate on that front :D However I did once lend my brother my PlayStation 2, and never got it back as he 'gave it to a friend with a sick child'. As someone who knows my brother well, this was clearly 100% a lie and he just SOLD IT
Super Street Fighter III
This is not the name of something that exists btw :tongueout:

Oh I leant my PlayStation 2 to my brother as well and he bloody sold the thing. :D
