The WONDERFUL GOVERNMENT have also decided not to tell us that we have to complete another passenger locator form within 48 hours before we arrive back home. It’s good I saw a post about it otherwise we’d be landing back home on Saturday to a £100 fine.

Friends of my mum's were turned away from boarding a plane to Greece for not filling in one of those. THEIR fault for sure but easyJet should probably not have checked them in in the first place :D

We were notified that we had to complete one to go to Greece but not a PEEP about this contact form we have to fill out for our return. No doubt all the money raised due to all the fines that will be handed out will be going to fund a great boarder wall along the Dover coastline.

You can fill it in in the queue for UK passport control, that's where I did mine. I wouldn't recommend it though as it's one of the worst-designed forms I've ever seen.
 
The latest situation around here at the moment is two guys who came home from holidays in Ibiza and went straight to a house party. There's now a cluster of cases around the northside of the city. Selfish pricks :angry:
 
I guess there are probably too many to report, or more likely they have no idea how they are caused, BUT do they have any information about cases on local news?

I was watching a local news report here in JPN and they said out of the X new cases today, 6 were all at the same party, 5 went to karaoke together etc etc. Thought that was interesting anyway

the numbers are climbing (and possibly peaking for now) here, totally dwarfing the first peak in early May. It’s Obon season too when people tend to go back to their hometowns for a few days, which people are worried is going to spread it out of the relatively urban-concentrated hotspots
 
300 new positive cases in a Northampton M&S sandwich factory. Surely that will spread like WILDFIRE? :zombie:
 
I travelled from Belfast to Dublin and onto Porto and back. The Portuguese had no interest in taking the passenger locator form from anyone on my flight even when I held it out to them to give it to them. I had printed the forms and filled them out in advance.

Dublin did want the forms from everyone, there were loads of forms in the airport and loads of people still seemed surprised they needed them. I just had to tick the box saying I was in transit to the North and not staying overnight in the South and fill out my personal and flight details. NI/UK are unaware I’ve been anywhere so they’ll be relying on me and others quarantining as the right thing to do, it all seems a tad lax.

Having said that in Porto itself everyone was masked and on top of things, it seemed better organised than here.
 
So now people coming back from France have to quaratine too ? CUNTS. Well at least I'll be bringing back a shedload of wine and cheese before the TARIFFS kick in
 
I'd really like to know what the hell went on in that factory. Because on the face of it, it seems they had their shit together in terms of safety, hygiene, distancing etc. So either a) they're talking crap and weren't careful at all or b) even with super caution that comes from a food factory that is conscious of covid, it's so incredibly infectious that you pretty much only have to look at someone from half a mile away to catch it, in which case it doesn't fill me with confidence having to go back to work etc.

Also what of the sandwiches? Can you catch it from a pack of M&S cheese and pickle as that would mean it'd be EVERYWHERE now? No recall?
 
Yes, I wondered if it could be transmitted through an M&S sandwich, but knew I had already asked a similar question before and can’t remember the answer.

The R rate must be well above 1 again with over 1k new cases a day?
 
EVEN if the growth had levelled off (and let’s be extremely charitable and assume it has for a moment), why on earth is a more sensible idea to go ahead and open more stuff up and have to keep faffing about with more local lockdowns and such than pause for a bit longer and try to get the infections back DOWN slightly?

We’re talking about stuff like wedding receptions here, I can’t even begin to imagine what a breeding ground they will be.

Another? That suggests the first cluster fuck came to a conclusion of some sort.

It shows you how thoroughly sociopathic these people are - working to cut the statistics rather than cut the number of deaths. There's no way this lot can get their just rewards unless we bring back the stocks and have Johnson, Hancock, Patel et al in Trafalgar Square and we can pelt them with dead hamsters.

Afterwhich, they go on tour and we get to do the same in every town and city in the land.
 
We seem to be following in a similar trajectory of new cases as France/Spain/Germany. Again they seem to be a week or 2 ahead of the UK, and we are averaging 1000 new positive cases a day.

A few months ago we did hear that it will be September it is likely to STRIKE again and it looks like that may well be the case. :o
 
I tend to torture myself daily and keep up to date with the figures. Going back a couple of weeks ago the likes of Spain were getting few new cases a day but are now up at about 3k new cases again. France seem to have gathered traction a lot quicker.
 
London does not seem to have had an upturn in cases yet, have they? Obviously when they do the proverbial will once again hit the fan.
 
Ugh. I really can’t at this.

The gyms will never open again in Scotland at this rate :evil:

Well i wonder if they’ll quarantine the whole of London if the rate gets higher than desired in a couple of places like they did with Manchester
