Wednesday uses outdated cultural references

All of my outdated cultural references are either racist, sexist, ableist or a combination of one or more of them.

I couldn't stop laughing the other day when reading a reference to a photo that somebody had taken of their car. Somebody else had written MONG in big letters on the back window and the poster's comment was "can't believe how long it took me to lick that off".

Not meant to be working today but working from home as firstly.

1. We've just landed a big job which usually my boss would lead but she can't be arsed.

2. My boss needs me to unzip a file for her as she DOESN'T KNOW HOW.

I'm on holiday for a fortnight but just logged into my work emails to see how many there were. Happy to see they're all complicated wages emails and another one asking me to issue three invoices on behalf of a client. My boss says I'm exaggerating when I complain about my workload so this should go some way to proving my point.

For some reason Michelle Collins followed me on Twitter. I'll take it.

My celebrity Twitter followers are a who's who of the celebrity world. Marcus Dent from Corrie, Cindy Beale and that lass that sailed around the world in the early 1990s.

you're such a Joey Deacon

Oh good grief, that reminds of the time one of our colleagues innocently asked why people in Scotland used "Joey" as an insult when someone did something daft.

Of course, it wasn't a Scottish thing, it's just that she'd heard one person who hadn't got with the programme use it and assumed it was.

I told her it was to do with an old Krankies routine where someone kept getting Jimmy Krankie's name wrong (calling him/her "Joey"), then realised that she could start going around saying it on that basis so I had to back pedal and tell her the truth about the most extraordinary miscalculation of the BBCs history (with the exceptions of Eldorado and employing a pile of paedos and sex pests).

I bought a tub of that Pink Stuff cleaning paste for 89p from Poundland last week, after my friend raved about it I thought I'd see if it was as good as she said it was and happened to spot it when I went in for sweeties. I cleaned the fireplaces tiles with it and they look good as new with the minimum of effort so it was worth it just for that as they're normally a steam-cleaner and Brillo pads job . I've also just cleaned the freezer door with it and it made a usually-2-hour job into a 15 minute job and looks better than it's done in years! It goes through dog-snot, the most difficult thing to clean off anything, like a hot knife through butter.

I did an online Spanish wine and cookery thing tonight and OMG salmorejo is my new favourite thing

I've tried it on my oven and cooker but didn't find it so good :(

I know right but it IS. You whizz it up with olive oil so it emulsifies and goes all creamy. Then serve with boiled egg and serrano ham on top. FIT. @Alla and @big ron to confirm pls.

I just googled it and now I want some so hard.

I can probably get away with a stick blender right? My main blender broke ages ago and I've never replaced it because I rarely needed to use it. Or perhaps I should use this as leverage to get Mr L to buy me a magimix.

YES I used a hand blender. It's probably not quite as smooth as it's supposed to be but it works fine.

I was just trying out a massive smilie to see how massive it was. NOT directed at Iguana.
