dmlaw's Indie Disco: FRIDAY 21 AUGUST 20:30 BST

Yay Bloc Party.

I've just had a second joint, so it's really passed beer time.

I have discovered tonight that although I hate tequila I QUITE LIKE mezcal. This bodes well for Mexico if I ever get there.

ANYWAY GOSH The Strokes. They remind me of ANOTHER ex. At university.

Given the era of the songs, if you used to date Indie boys, that might happen quite a lot. :(

Last Nite absolutely sums up that very early indie 00's period before fully flanked indie stuff took over. Razorlight band Fratellis and friends. It's a classic that's stood up over all of those.

OMFG GOSSIP. I always preferred Heavy Cross but this absolutely can't be denied.

Heavy Cross was very nearly included but I prefer the Fred Falke remix and I was trying to include only original versions.

I'm sure I remember a different video.
So do I actually. I didn't spend a lot of time searching if the most obvious one had decent sound quality and no pointless crap at the start and end.

Is have included SITWOC over Heavy Cross too just for memoribilia sake. But bear in mind for your "dmlaw's what could of been" playlist

I've also met Carl Barat a few times. A very good friend was his keyboardist for a few years.

My friend took the Bravery on as who was gonna fanboy over. Then they went to have a total of one hit single :D

This is totally unremembered in the Tisch brain of 2007ish indie hits. I always found it a bit meh at the time.
