dmlaw's Indie Disco: FRIDAY 21 AUGUST 20:30 BST

Facebook did remind me today that it's 4 years since I went to Manchester to see Morrissey and we went to an indie night afterwards where there was a mirrored wall at the back of the club and all these pissed Mancunians were having fights with their own reflections. Genuinely one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

Manchester in the 90s is one of those perfect ‘time and place’ moments. I can’t think of any period in recent music as evocative and exciting.

I went up Canal Street one night years ago and was so drunk I strode at full pelt into a floor length mirror. Being British, I apologised to it.

It's another lyric video because the mix used in the official video is fucking weird.

I hope everyone is ready to crack open a can of Red Stripe and dance whilst holding it above their heads at arm's length.

JAMES. This is amaze. I reemeber the 98 rerelease but it's an OLDIE isn't it
I actually really loved the 98 version. I think in fairness I’d love it in any version. Even Lulu feat. Ed Sheeran and the black and white minstrels would have a hard time fucking such an iconic song up.

funky thumbs up for Garbage, Depeche Mode, Happy Mondays, James, The Gossip, and especially Primal Scream. The rest is white noise to me sorry :disco:

That you liked any of it is all the compliment I could ever need.
