Not that I voted this time as I was unbelievably busy with my charity work, but I must say I’m not at all impressed by newly recorded backing tracks. I know it shows a bit of extra effort but I’d rather have a tinny karaoke version off the YouTube

That's fine but if you get an extra point from a few voters than that's enough for me.

Seems that the two acts that did make their own backing tracks came 1st and 2nd, so seems fair in the long run.

Very grateful for the votes, but feel it's a bit like when Oscar winners win for less good performances - I still stand by my 8th place finish last time being a better production, vocal and video than my 2nd place finish this time personally.
