It's not about the music. it's about HER. I'm scared of what she'll do, say or reveal next because she's shown her ass so much this year.

and some of the song titles ("Let Me Love You Like a Woman") don't exactly instil confidence in that regard EITHER

I was thinking the same :D especially after all her weirdly coded discussion of "gentle" women
 
Question for the culture,

Now that transgender women are accepted in society, can I please go back to being a gentle woman, feeling beautiful for being born in the right body, or whatever I want, without being crucified or saying that I'm glamorizing hate? I'm fed up with transgender women writers saying that I glamorize hate, when in reality I'm just a glamorous female singing about the realities of what we females born as female are experiencing.

My initial comment was my idea of a (fairly dark) joke partly based on my own anxieties and partly on the fact that, as @Jark rightly points out, she has shown us a decent proportion of her ass this year.
 
I don't know why she sounds so REEDY on it or why she decided to do lots of goofy voices. She has literally never done that since. What a CHOICE

no other performance showcases her incredible vocal range like this one does.
 
I also wonder whether she toned back her vox (or at least used them in a different way) after this era, because of the ridicule
 
I think it was nerves more than anything. It’s a difficult song to sing live, but “shades of cool” is too and she nails that every time.
 
Are we going to “Let me Love You Like a Woman” at midnight and the digital album on Saturday as promised ? :disco:

it will be such an almighty flop if so - I can only imagine the label OK'ing that strategy if it's some completely obtuse works

also, every album that's on streaming is released on a Friday, without exception

I’m subtly acknowledging the chances of an album on the 5th are slim. But that release date came from her mouth, and she never announced a delay, or postponed date etc, so can you really fault anyone for holding out hope?

And to be honest I don’t think it would make much of a difference in terms of commercial success, or that she cares. She has primarily relied on her cult following since 2014 and radio doesn’t play her anyway (at least in America, “doin time” aside). If anything a digital /streaming rollout with the lead single, and physical plus vinyl release a month or two down the line with this “Chemtrails” video she just shot might extend the shelf life of the album.....
 
It's this bloody poetry thing that's in the way. Someone should have tried to get her to tone the importance of that down a bit, just sell it from the merch page on her website or something.

I’m actually starting to lose interest in Madam. There are only so many times you can wheel out the same old thing (obviously this doesn’t apply to Enya - exclusive Moon and Stars rules apply there), I never got into NFR! and I’m finding her face more than a bit disturbing these days
 
I second the thing about her weight, we all put some lbs. during quarantine so what? But sis looks like she went through a whole cabinet of fillers and needles :shock: Kinda like what happened with Xtina and now looks as if she was permanently stung by a thousand bees (that actually sounds like a lovely Lana song title).

TBH "Seven" is by far the most LDR inspired song she's done. I can imagine LDR singing it, everything from the inflections to the melody.

EXACTLY! I noticed it in the mouth, which is why I mentioned it. It just looks a bit strange, and a bit less of the misogyny insinuations, thanks very much. (Not you, @Pipo.) Also, the way that some people on here behave as though any comment about a female artist is directed towards their own mother and / or is borne of misogyny is well fucked up. By all means call it out where it exists but don’t make it out to exist where it doesn’t.
 
She definitely has gone for the fillers bigtime. Her eyes look smaller too, because the sheer amount of filler in her upper cheeks and eyes have altered her face shape slightly. Why do these beautiful young women do this? :(
