Iconic 00s Pop Songs Face-Off: Pt. I

I thought this could be fun.

essentially, inspired by the old bumped Britney v Kylie topic, I thought it would be fun to make some of the most iconic female pop songs of the century (2000-present) face-off in a knockout fashion.

I have chosen 92 songs from 71 female artists - solo and all-girl group - to randomly face-off across five rounds in STAGE 1. At the end of those five rounds, the number of songs will be around 44 and then NEW FACE-OFFS will begin in STAGE 2

most artists have 1 song each featured, but the most iconic/biggest Moopy faves have 2. in those cases I tried to choose 2 songs from different albums. it's not just their biggest hits per se - some are fan favourites instead. no remixes, but featured artists allowed.

to make it rapid, I'll try to get through the five rounds of stage 1 this week - everything will be in this thread.

RULES
- In each instance you must choose the song you want to send THROUGH, not eliminate.
- At the end of each round, you have one RESURRECTION vote - if any song receives 3 or more resurrection votes, it will be added back into the mix for a future voting round (within stage 1 - not qualifying automatically for stage 2).
- Post publicly which track is going through by deleting the name of the other track, and state your resurrection vote below, if you want to use it.

Anywhere vs. Don't Hold Your Breath - quite tough and both B-LIST HERE, but Nicole clinches it partly out of pity
In My Arms vs. Fight For This Love - battle of the nation's sweethearts. the original (and the current) one TAKES IT
