A Song for Moopy: UNDERCOVER. Song selection thread! CLOSED

Yeah, as this is a covers round I’m covering @Iguana by basically following his blueprint to the letter.

That means a playlist on the Friday between the votes closing and the grand final.

My goal is to be like A1’s cover of Take On Me - essentially the same, but just that bit shitter.

I highly doubt it will be shitter, I had the idea to do the ASFM hits & misses sync listen the day before it happened so yours is ALREADY more thought through!

Ughhhh I just realised that cover was released closer to the original than the present day

Sunday 27th Sep - submission period closes, @Tisch to have nervous breakdown and submit Truly Madly Deeply by Cascada.
IF people get their songs to me in good time, the fabulous flag gala will be on Sunday, with the shows on Monday and Tuesday.
Otherwise, the flag gala will be Monday 28th, and the two viewing galas will be the Tuesday and Wednesday.

Voting will then take place until Thursday the 8th of October. That VERY SAME NIGHT will be the Who Sent What gala.
The Friday will be the second choices and originals gala, and the star studded results gala will be on the Saturday.

REMEMBER: If you would like to submit a short video to accompany the reveal of which song you sent (perhaps singing the chorus, doing a spot of lip syncing, or - if you’re Rita or Kate - having a vigorous bounce on a pogo stick), then send it across to me and I’ll make sure to use it.

I don’t want to feel any pressure at all. Obviously I’ve pinned all of my hopes on you sending something as jaw droppingly incredible as your Kalavision entry but, if you can’t, then I want you to know my suicide attempt will be for completely unrelated reasons.
 
People are going to have to do something pretty special to beat the video of SDF loosening up his hole. Hard act to follow

When I was at school we had to do an industry session where we proposed and then marketed a fake product. My proposal was ‘Gala bananas’, which were just regular bananas but the advert would be two people in banana suits singing ‘ba na na na na na na’ to the tune of Freed from Desire. Shockingly, my group didn’t choose it.

Oh amazing. I'll chuck in my Kalavision 1.0 song that I've been bitter about having to scrap when the rules were changed with no apology or concession to those who submitted hilarious bios to go with them.
 
I've struggled a bit with this, so far my frontrunner might well go down like lukewarm sick if submitted, but I keep coming back to it more than my other choices like an addictive punishment. I know there's some I'm forgetting, but kind of impossible to look for them when you don't know what the fuck you're looking for :D

Really quite perturbed at everyone's hasty submissions, I can only assume you've all sent SURE-FIRE winners :)
