What are your favourite types of pasta? 🍝

NOTE that I only included pasta that is served WITH a sauce and/or other ingredients RATHER THAN pasta varieties such as ravioli or tortellini which are only complete with a filling and therefore are a dish in themselves. I want your thoughts on the PASTA ITSELF.

my absolute favourites are linguine and pappardelle, but I also LOVE tagliatelle and conchiglione (mmmm perfect for getting ALL THAT SAUCE caught up inside the shell).

I hate penne and think anyone who uses it in cooking is a basic bitch who doesn't really love Italian food. I also would never use fusilli, farfalle or macaroni - I just think YOU CAN DO BETTER.

I'm not actually kidding at all when I say that pasta is quite a big part of my life - I'm in process for a couple of jobs right now and if I get an offer from one I'm going to immediately invest in a pasta machine (I've just had a look now and they're actually much cheaper than I'd imagined). Has anybody GOT ONE? any TIPS or RECOMMENDATIONS?

I can’t remember the last time I had them and never buy them but they’re quite fun and better than the overused Penne.

I mostly buy fresh tagliatelle.

Gnocchi can be made from stuff other than potato. The word itself means comes from
Gnoccho which means ‘lump’ - I had one with ricotta cheese and there’s ones with breadcrumbs too.
