A sultry sync listen: 'Melanie C', Monday 8pm

10 Who I Am
10 Blame It On Me
10 Good Enough
05 Escape
09 Overload
05 Fearless
10 Here I Am

the intro of Nowhere to Run reminds me SO MUCH of Drugs by Charli XCX that I always think I'm about to hear Mel singing "dealer dealer, XCX" or "bitin' on a rose, you make me cum."

the reality is less exciting sadly. I like the GROWLING verses though.

08 Who I Am
10 Blame It On Me
09 Good Enough
07 Escape
10 Overload
08 Fearless
07 Here I Am

Nowhere To Run is the weakest for me.

09 Who I Am
09 Blame It On Me
09 Good Enough
06 Escape

08 Fearless
07 Here I Am
06 Nowhere To Run

Not a lot to say about Nowhere To Run. Probably the weakest link.

Love the "I gotta breathe out" bit though.

In and Out of Love is such a cute bop, but I must admit I've tired of it somewhat, whereas the others continue to work their magic!

In and Out of Love is the catchiest song on the album and the first Mel song I heard and immediately LOVED since Think About It, which must've been about 9 years ago now. I was actually quite AGOG because I'd been a real loon circa 05-07 (and a brief moment again with The Sea) but I couldn't have believed I'd ever STAN MELANIE C EVER AGAIN. I would've put money on that NOT EVER HAPPENING.

so thanks for proving me wrong hun :disco:
